Butterscotch Oatmeal

This was quite tasty (kind of like a warm pudding), and the milk and egg add a nice protein kick to an oatmeal breakfast. I used 2 Tablespoons of brown sugar and that was plenty.

I'm surprised that so few people have reviewed this recipe, because I think more people should try it! First of all, let me say that these must be 100% completely cool before you try to cut them. Unlike real brownies, it won't work, and you'll end up with a a pile of goo. Once they are cool, however, they are unusual, decadent, and very very wonderfully chewy. I added a tsp. of vanilla and they were a huge hit in my house.

Kristen's Awesome Oatmeal Cookies

Okay, I must admit these are awesome. My husband claimed they are the best oatmeal cookies he's ever had (which is saying quite a lot since he comes from a family who is talented in the kitchen) and literally ate half the batch. I loved them too -- they were just the right combo of crunchy/chewy. yum.

Pumpkin Chip Muffins

Oustanding muffins. One cup of oil is plenty, especially if you plan to consume quickly (easy to do with these)!

Chicken Paprika

Delicious! I cut the chicken into little hunks and served this with egg noodles. My fiance thought it was as good as his mom's, and since she's quite an amazing and experienced cook, that means a lot! We fought over the leftovers.

Deep Dark Chocolate Cake

My mother-in-law actually told me this was the best chocolate cake she'd ever tasted! It was suggested to me after tasting this that I quit my graduate school career and make cakes for a living instead. I used coffee instead of water. It was absolutely fantastic!

Peanut Noodles

Cottage Cheese Roast

I made this out of curiousity: I enjoy the taste of meatloaf but I am very grossed out by ground beef. This wonder of alchemy is delicious!! My fiance came home from work and couldn't leave it alone. Like other reviewers, I added 2 1/2 cups of crushed cereal.

Easy Four Cheese Lasagna

Fantastic! My fiance called it "brilliant." I was in a hurry and messed it up -- I forgot to add the sauce in the layers so it was only on the bottom and the top, and it was still delicious.
