Green Onion Salad

Reviewed: May 4, 2012
Delicious! I was worried it would be too much onion but it wasn't! I went light on the mayo. I added an extra egg and fresh lettuce so mine was like a salad.

Banana-Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
Easy and tasty! I made some adjustments to fit what I had on-hand - summer squash instead of zucchini. 1 cup dried cranberries, no nuts. I used 2 1/2 very small bananas and a little more would have been OK, 1 cup wheat germ subbed for 1 cup of the flour. Delicious!

Oatmeal Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2011
I use 2/3 cup wheat germ instead of 2/3c of flour, and they were still awesome!

Apple Graham Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2011
It's what you would expect. Perfect cake for my 4 year old. (we didn't do the nuts, skipped the whipped topping, but added rainbow sprinkles, just because that's what we had on-hand).

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2012
Cooked the pork loin in the slow cooker for 5 hours in cheap root beer. Delicious. (I didn't put on the BBQ sauce because I don't like it, but I'm sure it would be great if you're a BBQ sauce person.)

Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2012
I used frozen spinach, cottage cheese, aged reserved cheddar, eggs, sauteed yellow onion, and crushed tortilla chips and it was easy and tasty! My 1 year old gobbled it up.

Fluffy Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 7, 2012
I've made this recipe as-listed and it's great. Tonight I grated a 10" yellow summer squash and just added it to the batter and the recipe and it's still great (sneaking in veggies.)

Best Brownies

I never really cared for brownies... until I had these. My only complaint is that I can't stop eating them!

Sauteed Mushrooms (Quick and Simple)

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2012
Easy and tasty. Not the BEST sauteed mushrooms I"ve ever had, but they were good. I didn't use any steak seasoning.

Sun-Dried Tomato Dip

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Very quick and easy. I used fresh (just made them today) sun-dried tomatoes- so no oil. I put in very little salt, dried basil, garlic powder, and 1 1/4 cups of sun-dried tomatoes. That was just about right. Still not too heavy on the tomatoes flavor- just right. Spicy!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2012
I made it 'as written' and it was OK. It was edible, but not fantastic. It was bland, and I like bland things. I added some bacon to it - that helped. I added more pepper than I thought I would need. It was a super quick recipe to make, I would have given it 4 stars, but it was too much work for not enough flavor.

Bourbon Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2012
I made it per the directions, with the exception that I used mostly vanilla with some bourbon. I chunked the chicken and baked it in the over for about 45 minutes. It was edible and we'll eat the leftovers, but it wasn't very flavorful.
