Lemon Cream

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2012
I was making a lemon cake and wanted to make a frosting since I didn't buy any. This glaze/frosting is so yummy. It could be used as a filling or a glaze. I didn't have enough lemons for 1/2 cup so I also used an orange. I added lemon and grapefruit zest while cooking. It's really citrusy and yummy! I poked holes in my cake so it could seep down a bit too.

Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
I have never made deviled eggs before and went up to allrecipies to look up a good recipe - not too strange w/ a ton of extras - as to not get to weird with the flavors. I saw this one and decided to try it since I had all the ingredients. I grew up using miracle whip and my husbands family always and only uses mayonnaise. I figured the vinegar in this recipe will give it the lil zip that miracle whip does. I made it and OH MY GOODNESS is it delicious. The vinegar does not over power it. I would think if it does, then you added too much. This was a huge success and I will definitely be making it again. The only substitute I used was Splenda instead of Sugar.

Popcorn Candy Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
Perfect! I made a batch of these for my daycare and let them make their own. Just let them cool enough for a lil ones hands & I floured their hands and let em'at it! It was the best idea! And in the end it's not a horrible treat either! If you see that's it's too marshmallow'y just add more popcorn if you don't have any more popcorn any dry cereal will do. It's supposed to be fun and any extra color will make it more festive.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
This really is HEAVENLY! I love this recipe as does the rest of my family. I don't have Parmesan bread crumbs but regular ones work just as well. I follow the recipe other than that small detail.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I absolutism LOVE this recipe. I give it 5 stars even though I had to modify it. I took some pointers from other reviewers. I add white wine to the pot to cook w/ the chicken all day. . . and I use real butter instead of margarine. The house smells soooooo good all day and I get complements from all my daycare kids parents when they come to pick up their kids. Once I know the chicken is cooked through I can't help but sneak bites - I have learned to make more chicken than needed because of this. It's so good just like that. I've given away this recipe numerous times.

Orange Chocolate Swirl Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2005
This is a WONDERFUL tasting and looking cheesecake!!! I love the idea of orange/chocolate and the orange doesn't overpower the cake as I thought it would have. It's a wonderful combo! Thank you, I'll be making this one again.

Taco Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2003
This recipe was extremely bland in flavor. It needed some other heavier spices to give it some flavor. It was also too dry. Maybe some more tomato sauce or a flavored tomato sauce. Not enough taco seasoning.

Brazilian Banana Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2003
This recipe was great! It was really simple and quick to make. I was suprised to see that the bananas weren't mixed into the cake but with the end result I realized why. With the bananas on top with the sugar/cinnimon sprinkled on the top makes the bananas creamy and they seep into the cake. It was the best cake I've had in a long time. My husband is taking it to work to share tomorrow because he likes it so much! I am definitly keeping this recipe!!! Thank YOU!!!!!! ___________________________________ I need to add on that I think this recipe should be refridgerated. The bananas seemed to go bad really quickly.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2001
This was a great easy recipe. It didn't take long to make and the cookies turned out good. They were a tad dry, but it helped that I downed them with a glass of milk. I would put a little less sugar in them also ~Lesley

Baked Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2001
I agree that this recipe was very simple and easy to make. It was a bit blan, so I added garlic salt and a packet of onion dip mix. It added a lot of flavor to it. I will make it again, but with my touch ups. :0) ~lesleylafuze
