Sweet Restaurant Slaw

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2014
I thought the dressing was way too sweet! Sugar probably could have been cut back by half! I added lemon juice, more vinegar and salt to try to tone down the sweetness.

Sherry Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2014
Delicious! I only cooked the pork chops for about 40 minutes (instead of an hour) and I probably could have cooked it for less time since they were a little too well done. I also took the apples and juice out of the pan after I baked the chops, poured it into a saucepan, added a little spoonful of brown sugar and flour, and cooked the mixture for a few minutes over the stove just to make the apples softer and the sauce thicker.

Homestyle Kalua Pork with Cabbage in a Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2013
The pork came out super tender and juicy. I didn't use liquid smoke (substituted with a smoky spice mix I got from Trader Joes) and the pork came out tasting bland, so next time I'll try liquid smoke and maybe add more spices.

Maple Salmon

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2012
The marinade is so delicious! I didn't cook it according to the directions from the recipe though. Instead, I used the directions from allrecipes.com's video of "How to cook salmon" because it's a no fail way to make sure your salmon comes out "restaurant style" moist! I wouldn't cook it any other way!

Salmon Chowder

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2011
This was delicious! I cooked fresh salmon over the stove top instead of using canned salmon, only used a sprinkle of cheddar (I felt like it didn't need the cheddar. I didn't want the cheddar to disguise the delicate flavor of the salmon and it's also healthier to leave it out), and added some old bay seasoning.

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2011
OMG this is one of those rare moments where I want to jump up and down for finally finding an easy and delicious fish recipe! Usually my fish turns out dry, undercooked, etc but this fish was so moist and flaky and the sauce was perfect! Thank you!

This dish is so easy to make and delicious. I did have to double the sauce recipe though!

Quinoa with Veggies

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2011
The recipe calls for too much water. Next time I'll use 2 cups instead of 3 since my quinoa came out too mushy!

Crabmeat Quiche

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2010
I used canned crabmeat and the quiche ended up tasting awful. Maybe if I used real crabmeat it would have tasted a lot better!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
These were good, but I've used better recipes before. I like my cookies on the semi-flatter side and chewy, but these came out more raised and a tad bit cakey for my taste. And I didn't over mix the batter. I did that the first time and they came out super cakey, but this second time around they came out much better.
