Creole Seasoning Blend

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
Love the seasoning, didn't have white pepper so I just used more black pepper. Worked great.

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2010
This recipe was yummy! I had fresh tomatoes on hand but I preferred to use a can of diced basil and jalapeno tomatoes mixed with half a fresh tomato diced. I definitely recommend using can diced tomatoes with the spices already mixed because it gives it soooo much more flavor. Also I HIGHLY recommend that you cook the angel hair pasta while the tomatoes and chicken are simmering so the noodles aren't dry and stick together when you add them.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Outstanding. I recommend absolutely no changes. The only variation I made to this recipe was I did not have fresh rosemary sprigs so I just rubbed about a teaspoon inside the hen. It turned out to be really moist and delicious.

Shrimp Durango

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I made this on my anniversary for my husband and he enjoyed it. I think next time I will probably add more of the sauce because it seemed like we were just eating noodles at times.

Old Fashioned Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Fantastic and easy! I followed the recipe exactly as stated and after pulling them out of the oven while the middle is still soft, I put a large Hershey's chocolate chip on each one. They were to die for and I had plenty to go around.

Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Excellent, excellent. I am making this for all of my colleagues because it is so good. I don't eat the frozen hashbrowns so I just grated a couple potatoes and put it in its place. The potatoes were thoroughly cooked when done. Also, the 3 eggs the recipe calls for is exactly what is needed, nothing more.

Pizza Dough I

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
This recipe is meant to be simple and easy which it is exactly that. This pizza dough recipe is actually on the back of most yeast packages with one difference, the added sugar. A special touch that I recommend is when the pizza gets close to being done, spread a mixture of olive oil, garlic salt or powder, and parsley on the crust to make it nice and flavorful.

Braised Flank Steak with Lemon and Garlic

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I have to agree with the previous commenter. Mine always seemed to come out too tough to enjoy. I think I will stick to the more tender types of meat.

Jalapeno Poppers II

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I followed this recipe to a "T" and they turned out super duper spicy. So hot in fact that my husband had to put them in the fridge over night and ate them the next day because they burned his mouth so bad. I suggest if you do not go for the extraordinarily spicy then do not broil the jalapenos before stuffing them with the cream cheese. Might be unbearable for some. Other than that, my husband thought they were great.

Fast and Friendly Meatballs

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
I loved this simple recipe! I followed the recipe as-is and mixed it up the second time by making my own tomato sauce. I highly recommend this recipe for meatball subs with slices of mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan. My husband asks for this every week! And it is great for left overs, just prepare the morning of or the bread gets soggy.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies III

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
This recipe was outstanding! They were so good that I had to give some to my neighbors after they got out of the oven! I highly recommend that you are very generous with the powered sugar because it really makes the cookie. Also you might want to refrigerate the dough longer than requested in order to get it firm enough to roll. Once again, excellent recipe.
