Buttermilk Pancakes I

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
These were a huge hit in my house. They are a bit sweet so I serve with sliced berries and powered sugar instead of syrup.

Asian Glazed Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: Sep. 30, 2013
This recipe was easy and my family loved it. A great way to take advantage of the value packs of bone in chicken at the store. I included 'wings' in my batch and they were great too. One thing to watch out for is your chicken skin burning a bit. Mine chicken got pretty dark about a third into the baking, so i placed a sheet of foil over the top of the chicken. I served with stir fried asparagus and steamed rice. I will definitely make this dish again.

Salmon with Lemon and Dill

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2013
This was super easy and delicious. I cut back on the amount of lemon and omitted the dill.

Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2013
This recipe was delicious -- just what I was looking for. I wanted something with sour cream in the dressing since I served the salad with buffalo chicken burgers (spicy). I left out the egg and pickles, but otherwise kept it the same. I agree that if you can make it ahead and leave it in the fridge overnight it makes the flavors blend better.

Alyson's Broccoli Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2013
This recipes was a hit. I'm not a raisin fan so I left those out. I also didn't have any bacon, so I sliced up a few pieces of salami instead. I also used sliced almonds (I toasted them for a few minutes in a frying pan before adding) instead of sunflower seeds.

Salted Caramel Crescent Doughnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
These were really awesome. Soft and flakey -- sweet and salty. The perfect combo. I could really see making these for breakfast or dessert.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2013
Wow! I mean WOW! This pizza sauce is fantastic. Admittedly, I didn't use the anchovy paste (one of my guests has a seafood allergy so I left it out - I am sure the sauce is even better with the anchovy paste). Thanks for sharing Angie!

Chicken Piccata with Artichoke Hearts

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
Made this for dinner last night -- the family loved it. I served with pasta -- and they kept wanting more sauce to add to their noodles. Rather than pound the chicken into cutlets, I cut the chicken into 1 inch pieces.

Super Fajita Marinade

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
After trying many different approaches to beef fajitas -- this is now my favorite, go to recipe. I used this Saturday night for dinner -- and even though I only had 1 hour to marinate the meat, the flavor turned out great. Don't skip the anise, it adds a unique, distinctive flavor which is really nice. For meat, I used the tri-tip steaks from costco and cut them into strips before marinating.

Kung Wow Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
This was really delicious. My kids don't like zucchini but they gobbled this up (go figure....I guess a yummy spicy, sweet sauce makes everything taste great). The video was really helpful since I hadn't made Kung Pow Chicken before. I followed Chef John's advice by having everything chopped, diced, measured and mixed ahead of time so then it was just a matter of throwing everything together. Be sure and get your rice started before starting this recipe so everything is ready at the same time.

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2012
I watched the video (very helpful) then made this recipe last night and it was outstanding (eating the leftovers for lunch right now as I type). I grew up in New England, but now live in Seattle. This is exactly how I would expect a great chowder to taste. Similar to other reviewers, I added some bacon. I also used three cans of chopped clams and added a small bottle of clam juice. I will definitely make this again. Thanks Pioneer Girl!

Chef John's Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2012
I'm a big fan of Brussels sprouts when I eat out so I wanted to see if I could create the same taste and texture at home. As usual, chef john's version didn't disappoint -- easy and delicious.

Judy's Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2012
I have to admit, when a friend brought this to a party I was skeptical -- jello and cream cheese in salad? However, when I took a bite my opinion totally changed. This salad is delicious and it's a total crowd pleaser among kids and adults. Add this to your recipes box for your next potluck..it's a winner.

Authentic Pad Thai with Shrimp

Reviewed: May 28, 2012
I made this recipe tonight after watching the video. It was great. Tasted just like take out from my favorite Thai Restauant. Don't worry if their seems to be too much sauce when you first add everything into the pan - the noodles will absorb much of the liquid after a few minutes of cooking.

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2011
This apple crisp is delicious. My version didn't look as pretty as the above picture, but with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top - who cares?!. I have never been successful at making apple pies, so I'm glad there are easy apple crisp recipes like this to make me look like a hero to my family. Thanks Diane!
