No Fail Pie Crust III

I halved the recipe, because I was making just 24 mini tarts. I used only 3/4 cup of margarine, and I did as another reviewer suggested -- I went to just under the 4 oz line in a glass measuring cup with water, then added the egg and vinegar to that and whisked. I put the flour, salt, and butter/margarine in a food processor, then slowly added the egg/water/vinegar mixture, just a bit at a time and pulsed the processor. It came together very nicely. It did seem a bit sticky, so then I added a tablespoon more of flour, then another two tablespoons of flour, and then it was perfect. It came out easily in one ball, I wrapped it in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator. After a couple hours, I took it out, rolled it out easy as pie ;-) The tarts were delicious! I'll definitely use this recipe again.

these meatballs are so good! all my kids loved them, and so did I. I didn't try the sauce, but just the meatballs and my own sauce. will definitely make again.

Vegan Black Bean Soup

I used a package of dry beans instead of the canned, soaked them overnight. I also simmered the soup for about an hour the first night, then another hour the next night before we ate the leftovers. It was SO GOOD. Even my 10 yr-old, 8 yr-old, and 1 yr-old loved it. I'm still eating it, three nights in a row! I think it makes more than 6 servings. :o)

Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies I

This dough was way sticky. My children and I couldn't even cut out any shapes as the dough was sticking everywhere even with tons of flour. And the cinnamon flavor was too strong for a traditional sugar cookie taste--I would leave that out.
