A fabulous cookie! I did as others suggested, increased the flour and baking soda and decreased the salt. I also added raisins as I had no walnuts. It's important not to mix the dough too much, just until a ball sticks together in your hand. I rolled them into balls and flattened each one slightly, and they didn't spread at all; also, it's important to leave them on the pan for 5 minutes after they come out of the oven, as the recipe suggests, otherwise they do fall apart. So be patient! It is so totally worth it!
