Easy Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Pork Chops

I doubled the sauce to ensure there was enough liquid in the slow cooker and to have extra to pour over the rice. It was excellent. Kid and husband approved! And so easy.

Best Lemonade Ever

My 6 year old son and I make this together. We substitute ice for the water, throw it in the blender, and make frozen lemonade. My son wants me to add, "Don't crush the ice all the way or it won't taste as good." We also do not wait the four hours for the syrup to cool. No need. It tastes great without the wait!

Easy Tilapia

We love this recipe with the added garlic. Note: if you increase the amount of fish, you don't need to increase the amount of lemon. If you do, the lemon becomes overpowering. I made this with a 12 oz salmon fillet and increased the oil, wine and lemon by 1 1/2 and ended up with about a cup of leftover sauce. I plan to pour it over some leftover chicken tomorrow night! Yummy.

Minnesota Wild Rice Dressing

I substituted regular turkey sausage and added thyme instead of sage. Also, my husband mistakenly bought only one pound of sausage, which we didn't discover until Thanksgiving day. The recipe as is seemed a bit heavy on the sausage and light on the rice anyway, so I used just the one pound of sausage. I also omitted the mushrooms for my family members who don't like them. The result was great and got rave reviews.
