Sesame Crusted Mahi Mahi with Soy Shiso Ginger Butter Sauce
My family and I thought this was good, but not exceptional. I do agree with the other reviewers that this is restaurant-quality food. That being said, restaurant-quality food is -and should be- rarely, if ever, as good as homemade. Should we decide to give it a try again, I'll definitely make some substitutes for all the fat and cut the salt; unfortunately, this also resembles a restaurant meal with its high saturated fat and sodium content.

Napoleon's Banana Muffin
Great flavor, but tooth-achingly sweet even after cutting back the sugars a bit. Bananas are one of the most sugary fruits, not to mention the rum's sweetness. What I used this time: 1/2 brown, 1/4 honey, 1/2 white, 1/2 brown. What I'll use next time: 1/2 brown, 1/4 honey, 1/4 white, 1/4 brown.

Strawberry Rhubarb Cream Pie
This is divine! I only had one frozen pie crust, although I'd usually have made my own if I'd had the time, so hubby put the remainder of the filling into a Pyrex dish and baked it along with the pie. The single pie crust also meant no top crust. However both were absolutely delicious: the pie for dessert last evening and the strawberry rhubarb custard for breakfast this morning with a bit of greek yogurt on top.
