Oven Roasted Teriyaki Chicken

Reviewed: May 21, 2014
Very good. The front end prep does take longer than I expected, maybe about 1/2 an hour. It took 45 minutes in the oven total. I substituted the brown sugar as well, which tasted great.

Hot Cocoa Mix in a Jar

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
Made it for gifts and some for ourselves. It is really good. Be careful to pick a good brand of powdered milk, so it isn't too grainy.

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
It is so painfully easy and so good. We have made it several times. Minor revision to how I cook the chicken, since my slow cooker seems to run hotter. I cook it on high for 3-ish hours, leaving the chicken breasts whole. After the 3 hours, I cut up the chicken and add the shrimp.

Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2014
Too much ginger or citrus. The oil also needs to stay very hot throughout or the breading looks soggy. Maybe I should try it again, but it seemed like a lot of work for not a lot of flavor payoff.

Slippery Shrimp

Followed this recipe exactly. My only critique is that there wasn't enough, since we liked it so much.

Too much soy sauce. Not really a good filling.

My family will revolt and block allrecipes if I ever make this again. They ate leftovers instead of this fish dish.

Great Green Salad

I'd leave out the avocado. The dressing is slightly acidic. Less vinegar would be my next try at this recipe.

Hong Kong Sweet and Sour Pork

I couldn't find pototo starch so I substituted a mixture of corn starch and all-purpose flour. This is a great recipe.

Chicken Quesadillas

This recipe is super easy and my family loves it. We made it even faster by grilling chicken breasts on the grill the night before.

Baked Lemon Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
It has potential but the bread crumbs are very soggy if the recipe is followed exactly. I may try it again but will fry in a pan first, then bake or just bake on a rack, as others have suggested.

Sugar Plum No-Bake Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2008
I made these yesterday. They look like uncooked meatballs with sugar on them. The cloves smell great but I can imagine someone putting the cookie in their mouth without removing the clove. The cookies are way too sweet. I will not make these again.

Cherry Bell Cookies

I made these yesterday. They are challenging to roll out, but I learned you could use flour generously without affecting the taste. They are beautiful and tasty!
