Tiramisu Layer Cake
Any recipe that has received more than twelve hundred reviews deserves a try, and now I can see why it has been rated five-star. I made it for my husband's New Year Eve-birthday, and we--along with our foody guests--agree it is probably the best cake ever. I followed the first reviewer's substitution for mascarpone, other's suggestions to use much more instant coffee when called for in the recipe, and the suggestion to chill the mixing bowl and beaters before whipping the cream. I also suggest that anyone making this for the first time to read the directions thoroughly a few times beforehand and allow PLENTY of time to make this. This cake is awesome!

Blueberry Cornbread
I was looking for something different and this was it! I used fresh blueberries, substituted 1/4 cup of brown sugar in place of the 1/2 cup regular, and instead of 1/2 cup vegetable oil I used 3 Tbsp of oil and enough applesauce to equal one-half cup. Baked it in a Bundt pan, too. Oh, my! Had to have two pieces just to make sure it was good. It was!??

Dog Biscuits II
Both of my furry children love these, and I make them regularly. Here are my tweeks: I use any leftover meat, dicing it. Rather than rolling the dough out and using cookie cutters, I drop small spoonfuls on the cookie sheet and flatten them a bit. I bake them until the edges get brown, and after removing them from the oven and cookie sheet, I leave them out for awhile. This hardens them, which I think is better for my dogs' teeth. Thanks for this recipe!
