Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 2, 2015
I have made this recipe a couple of times, but instead of using regular shortening, I use Coconut oil. Today I'm making them and instead of oatmeal I used the same measurement of bran. I like the original recipe, but I also like experimenting. Thanks for a good and easy to make recipe!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: May 2, 2014
This is the 1st negative review I've ever given. Based upon all the wonderful reviews, I bought an expensive pork tenderloin. The reviews also said it was to salty with the soy sauce so I left it out. We were very disappointed at the results. If I had used some oregano and basil, it probably would have been more tasty, but there wasn't much taste to it.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2014
I really like this but I had to tweak it a bit. As I was melting the butter I added the garlic to it. Then I added 1 cup Parmesan and 1 cup Mozzarella cheese. I also added my home grown basil and oregano to the mixture. I'm a meat lover but since it's Lent, I added broccoli and shrimp to the sauce and poured it over the pasta. My husband said it tastes better than the Italian restaurant we go to.

Banana Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2014
I usually like to follow recipes, but I had extra stuff on hand, so I added craisins, cinnamon and nutmeg. I'll let you know how the alterations turn out! UPDATE: They turned out great. We both loved them!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2014
I've made this recipe before as directed, but since I bought chocolate peanut butter, decided to try that. When I opened the jar I tasted it and it didn't taste very chocolaty, so I added Nutella also. I'll let you know how the changes affected the cookie when they're done baking.

Oatmeal Scotchies Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2014
I made these today and added raisins instead of coconut. They are just like I like cookies-a little crisp on the edges and chewy in the middle. Oh, and I added a little more brown sugar and a little less white sugar. These are just my preferences. The recipe is great.

Easy Morning Glory Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2013
This recipe is great! I didn't feel like going thru the trouble and mess of muffins, so I did a loaf instead. It took about 45 minutes to bake, but it was worth every minute. I did adlib a bit on ingredients also. I had apples and pears from my tree so I used a couple of apples, a large pear, carrots, and bananas. The rest of the ingredients was the same. Dynamite cake/bread! My husband & I had a slice that evening, then he had some the next morning and claimed dibs on the rest. I really liked it and only got one slice, so I made another one today. Yes, definitely worth every star and is a keeper. Thanks, Debbie! Oh, yeah! I did cut the oil down to 1/2 because there was so many moist ingredients.

I've made this recipe for years. It's not only quick and easy, but it tastes great. I've never had problems with it setting either.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2013
My husband loves beef stew and I like it too. There has never been a recipe with too much meat as far as we're concerned, so I think the critic who wrote that must have been having a bad day. This recipe is great!

Yummy Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2013
This is my 2nd time making these because my husband loves them. I follow the recipe except for adding chocolate chips to the batter. I refrigerate the batter while the rest are baking. It makes the batter easier to handle. Great recipe!

Cake Mix Cookies IV

Great easy recipe, but I will increase the baking time next time. I added chocolate chips and baked for 7 minutes but they are too doughy.

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2013
Love this quick and easy recipe. The only thing I did different was to top it with the other pie shell and top THAT with the streusel topping. I didn't add nuts or raisins because I like the old-fashioned apple pie.

Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2013
My mother-in-law gave me this recipe years ago. She called it Jewish Coffee Cake (and she wasn't Jewish either). The only thing she did differently was to pour half of the batter in, sprinkle the topping, then pour the rest of the batter and sprinkle remaining topping. It's easy to make, tastes good, and everyone enjoys it.

Cream Cheese Kolacky

While they were very tasty, they were also very crumbly. One or two cookies didn't fall apart when picked up, the rest were a disaster.

Apple Streusel Pie

This is easy to make and very tasty! The only thing I did different the 2nd time I made it was to add a top crust and put the struesel over the top instead of the apples themselves.

Bar Cookies from Cake Mix

These came out great! I made as directed but used yellow mix, chocolate and butterscotch chips. I only baked for 22 mins and they are chewy and good. Husband loves them!

Guacamole

I used a can of drained, diced tomatoes instead, but everything else the same and it was excellent. Rave reviews from husband and friends. They couldn't get enough of it.
