Slow Cooker Macaroni and Cheese I

The taste is a little blah. I am going to add a little dry mustard or use New York Sharp Cheese. I used Sharp Cheddar Cheese. Do not care for the texture. The texture is strange! perhaps if the eggs were eliminated the texture would be more creamy. Some say the eggs are needed to prevent separation so will probably just cut out 1 egg. It is easy to prepare. Mine cooked fast. It was done in 2 hours. It was okay just not great.

Tasty Buns

This recipe makes tasty hamburger buns but even better dinner rolls. It yielded 26 dinner rolls baked on a 17" cookie sheet. I followed Bills advice to beat the dough for 3 minutes with the mixer. They were flavorful and light. They stayed fresh even better than the buns and they froze well. This recipe is quick, easy and tasty.

Oregano-Lemon Chicken

a very flavorful chicken that holds well and does not dry out. I serve it from a crock pot at buffets and get many compements on it.

Low-Salt White Bread

Good low salt recipe. The yeast package said that the water should be 120 degrees-130 degrees when yeast is mixed with the dry ingredients. Following the package instructions instead of the recipe helped the bread rise. I mix as directed, then add one cup of flour and mix. Change to dough hook and gradually add flour. I use the dough hook to do the kneading. It took about 7 minutes until it "felt right." Let the machine do the work! Ann

Honey Butter Yule Ham

The honey butter mixture did not make any difference in the flavor. The top of the ham burned do ti so much sugar. It might work better if applied the last 20 minutes of baking. I have heard that glazes burn if put on too soon. I had to trim the ham to get rid of the tough black burn on the top. I will never try this recipe again and was greatly disappointed in it.
