White Sangria

Very tasty! Served at a party and no one refused a refill. Maybe one less orange, but otherwise perfect for a summer evening.

Cinnamon Raisin Bread I

Made this with wheat and bread flour (5c/3c), doubled the raisins (2c), decreased the sugar (1/2c). increased cinnamon (3T) and added a bit of cardamom. Very delish! Had a hard time waiting for it to cool enough for slicing. Can't wait to try it as rolls.

Brisket with BBQ Sauce

I have been longing for Texas BBQ since we moved from Austin and this recipe fits the bill really well. I did change the onion and garlic to powder instead of salt and added salt separately. But no others changes. This is a very tasty BBQ.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

I doubled this and used a 9.5x13.5 pan, put in 300degree oven for a little over an hour (I was in charge of cornbread for a Superbowl party and made the Absolute Mexican Cornbread also) and it turned out very nice. Tastes like the cornbread my mom made me. It was a bit crumbly, but that may have been due to the change in the baking time/temp. We liked it though, definitely will be making again.

Absolute Mexican Cornbread

I used 1/2c butter and about 3/4c sugar and substituted chopped jalepenos for the chilies. Turned out marvelous, very moist.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

I made this for a bunch of friends and it won rave reviews. Putting it together is a breeze. I coated the pan with cocoa powder,waited the suggested 25 mins to turn out of the pan and had no problems with it. Very yummy!

Hawaiian Chicken Kabobs

Made these for my 13yo's birthday party. Huge hit, no leftovers, sadly. I did bbq the chicken and pineapple separately because I am not a fan of blackened pineapple, and subbed allspice for ginger because I was out, otherwise followed the recipe as written. Definitely will make again.
