Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
Delicious!! These are SO chocolately, gooey and soft - just like I like them! I used 100% natural cane sugar instead of white sugar and subsituted 2 oz bittersweet chocolate for the chocolate chips. They turned out excellent and I will definitely make them again!

Vegetarian Four Cheese Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2010
This recipe was excellent! I used sweet potato instead of pumpkin and used extra pesto, plus I substituted goat cheese for the feta. Also, I added spinach with the tomatoes. The result was so so good, everyone loved it! We ate it four days in a row ;)

Chocolate Mocha Cake I

Reviewed: May 10, 2010
I made this cake with a few changes and it was absolutely amazing! I used half 100% natural cane sugar and half honey instead of the sugar that the cake called for. I also used 3 tbsp of coffee instead of one. The cake was moist and delicious, and people who ate it literally gaped. I filled it with alternating layers of mocha cream and homemade strawberry jam, and frosted it with caramel frosting. I'll definitely make it again, it was easy and incredible :)

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies II

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
These were very good and got better with age. I used half chocolate and half butterscotch chips - very yummy. Very moist... I cut the recipe in half and it still turned out great. And obviously don't substitute the butter, especially with Crisco. Don't do that in any cookie... the two are simply not the same at all.

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2009
These are very good, especially considering that they are a recipe that uses cocoa, when I find that recipes using baking squares are better. I used 1/2 white sugar and 1/2 brown, which tastes better and is better for you than all white. I also used less sugar than called for - 2 1/2 cups instead of 3. Someone earlier said these were too thin... I think you used too big a pan, because these were just right in thickness! I iced these because I had chocolate icing that needed to be used, but they didn't need it. Yummy :)

Gramma's Date Squares

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
I couldn't find my Grandmother's recipe for date squares, but this one turned out to be exactly like the one I was looking for! Most and not too sweet, these melt in your mouth goodies are a great desert, and as a health freak, I like the fact that they aren't too bad for you! I omitted the sugar in the date filling, and it definitely didn't need it! I also substituted some of the butter with a lighter non-hydrogenated margarine. Other than that, the recipe was perfect :)
