Overnight Blueberry French Toast

Delicious! I used frozen berries instead of fresh. 1 1/2 C over cream cheese. Added the additional 1/2C sugar. Also whipped cream cheese with 3T confect. sugar. I doubled the syrup recipe and poured it over the baked product.

Pumpkin Pie I

I adjusted this recipe to make a very dense pie because I really like pumpkin. I used 1 10" pie crust. 29 oz can of pumpkin puree', 2 eggs, 1-1/2 c white sugar ( or adjust to taste), 1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 tsp ginger. ( you can adjust spices to taste) 1/4 can evaporated milk. Bake 425 for 15 minutes / turn down to 375 and bake until bottom crust is light golden brown & center is firm. Excellent!!!

Best Cherry Pie

I have been searching for a cherry pie recipe that tastes like my husband's grandmother's pie! This is it! I didn't follow recipe exactly because I like more cherries so I adjusted the other ingredients to accomodate 4 C sour cherries. (1-1/2 C cherry juice, 1-1/2 C sugar, 2/3 c flour, 3T butter - no almond flavoring or food coloring) I baked it @ 425 for 55 minutes. The top & bottom crust was a golden brown. This is the only recipe I will use for cherry pie from now on. If you like the filling less thick, just decrease the flour by 1/6 C. Absolutely delicious! The flour & butter makes the difference in flavor from pies thickened with cornstarch or tapioca.

Throw-Together Short Ribs

Convenient -all ingred. on hand. Delicious - my hubby likes very few sauces, but he loves this. versatile - This finished sauce could be used in stew, chili, spaghetti sauce, meat pie & meatloaf. I followed recipe exactly and was very pleased with the result.

Sylvia's Ribs

I loved this sauce. It has just a little bite if you make it according to recipe. I steam my ribs in oven rather than boiling. I cooked @ 250 for 4 hrs.(covered with foil) or until tender. Refrigerated overnight and then I sauced them on a baking sheet and finished the recipe. I added more sauce after I removed the foil. ( I brushed the the ribs rather than pouring suce all over.) I only made 1/2 the amount called for. Company loved them!

Perfect Summer Fruit Salad

Absolutely DELICIOUS! Don't taste test until until everything has been marinating. If you taste the sauce without the fruit it will come across as a little bitter and really not the true flavor of the dish. You'll just have to trust us. Served it to company & everyone loved it. I didn't use the Kiwi or blueberries and added extra banannas. So you can customize this to your favorite fruits. I also mixed it altogether like others suggested. I have a small frig so I couldn't marinate in a trifle bowl.

Never Fail Chocolate Chip Cookies

Delicious! I use 1 egg instead of 2 and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla. I like it with 1 1/2 C chocolate chips. A little more economical too! This will be my go to cookie recipe from now on.

Mrs. Sigg's Peanut Butter Cookies

These are the most deicious peanut butter cookies I have ever eaten. I grew up on peanut butter cookies & these are better than mom's. (Don't tell my dad). I would have been much chubbier if her's were as good as these. The only change I made was using 1 egg. I don't care for eggy cookies, so I only use one in all my cookie recipes.

Cabbage Rolls II

Very Good! I followed the recipe exactly except instead of rolling up cabbage leaves, which I'm not very good at) I layered the cabbage and beef mixture in slow cooker and poured sauce over all. I also left out the rice (personal preferance) & added cracker crumbs and 1/4 tsp nutmeg to beef mixture. Next time I would increase sauce to 1 1/2 the amount. I also cooked it on auto for 5 hours as I didn't have 9 hrs. to wait.

Morning Glory Muffins I

DELICIOUS! I used golden raisins and next time I will use canned pineapple instead of fresh apple. (a little too much crunch for my taste) I also used ripe bananas instead of apple butter as someone suggested. You could use a lot of different ingredients to suit your taste. (coconut, pecans, ground flax seed etc.) They kept well in the frig, as I like COLD sweets. They tasted better every day. Next time I would make them in the eve and refrig. overnight for better flavor.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Very tasty as written. I tried a cold version by stirring in penne pasta and frozen peas to left over mixture, refrigerated it to eat as cold salad. Delicious!! Great this time of year.

Yummy Meatloaf

My husband is very picky & can taste every spice & he doesn't like 99% of them. This is perfect for him, but I don't put in the steak sauce. This is the only meat loaf he lets me make for him. If I'm hungry for meatloaf I add spices & topping!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Very creamy & delicious!. I buttered the bottom and sides (no cracks & easy to remove). I used all of the tips that laurelc43 suggested on her review. My water bath though was a pan of water on rack under cheesecake as per another review. (no mess and no foil). Made the Philly oreo cookie crust & topped it with the Chocolate Ganache ( this website) Everyone loved it!

Boston Baked Beans

My husband , who doesn't like baked beans, said these were the best he ever tasted. I was making them for a luncheon, so I used canned navy beans because I didn't want to take a chance the beans wouldn't soften. Next time I will try them using dry beans. ( more economical) But the flavor was amazing!
