My family and I LOVE the sauce and make the sauce all the time, just to have on hand. It has a semi-teriyaki flavor. I add about 3/4 cup of cool cornstarch water (3 rounded tbsp of cornstarch about) and let it boil again to thicken it. When it heats up or bakes it thins out a lot (even when thickened), so the whole recipe was good, but not very flavorful since the sauce thinned out so much. When using the sauce, I usually add it last to get the full rich flavor, instead of heating it with the food. This recipe goes great with rice too!
