Crustless Spinach Quiche

A phenomenal quiche! Simple to put together, easy to alter (I added tomatoes to the egg mixture for some color) and absolutely delectable! I made these in a cupcake tin for bite size quiches for a brunch, with no problems. Made 21 individual ones in a 12-muffin tin.

Mama's Asian Chicken and Rice

Delicious and took barely any time to prep! 30 min on the stovetop (put on a timer) and we had a delicious satiating meal. I didn't have any 5-spice powder, and I doubt they sell it here in Israel. I was out of red pepper flakes, so I threw in two shakes of cayenne pepper. No need for thickening the sauce afterwards, it reduced to the perfect amount. A1so, I only realized after prepping the sauce that I was short two chicken breasts (which was fine since it's the two of us), and the sauce amt was just right anyway, so I recommend doubling the sauce. Add a veggie as a side, and this meal is a keeper!

Viva Madrid Spanish Chicken

This would be 5 stars all the way if you halve the amount of chili. I didn't, and therefore it has a star deducted. We could tell that underneath the overwhelming spiceness, there was a delicious recipe. The dates truly add to the dish! Don't skimp out on them. It really made this a special dish, and one we will make again.

Spanish Rice II

If you halve the chili, I think this is a great colorful side. It was on the mushy side, but that was probably from something I did wrong. Overall, quick preparation for a filling dish. I made it with Viva Madrid Spanish Chicken (on this site)

Citrus Chicken and Rice

After reading the reviews about the recipe being bland, yet having all the ingredients in the house, I decided to cut the chicken into strips and marinate in orange juice and crushed garlic while I gathered all the other ingredients. After browning the chicken, I sauteed the onion with some garlic before adding the broth, juice and rice. Two simple changes really added a lot of flavor! I'll make this again.

Roasted Vegetables

Next time I would put much less dried spices, it felt like too much for the amount of veggies. Other than that, it was what it was supposed to be. A great accompaniment to chicken, thank you!

Kay's Spaghetti and Lasagna Sauce

I've made this sauce 3 times now and I love it! First time subbed a can of tomato paste for stewed tomatoes and red peppers instead of green due to what was on hand - waayy too sweet! Second time vegetarian with the tomato paste and green peppers instead and it was divine! Third time I halved the sugar, and kept it the same as the 2nd - it is PERFECT! A great base recipe with things you normally have in the house. I cannot say enough good things about this sauce, especially since we are on a budget.

Foolproof Potato Latkes

Phenomenal recipe! My first time making latkes on my own and all my guests were raving. I don't own a food processor so I peeled and grated the potatoes and onion. I added a couple of dashes of pepper and garlic powder. The recipe made a lot, depending on how big your latkes are. I even sent someone home with the recipe. This is a holiday staple recipe for us now.

Spinach Lasagna III

This was my first go at lasagna and it was the best I have ever tasted! Granted, I unfortunately have not have lasagna that often because I do not mix meat and dairy together. I watched the video on AR of this recipe and it really helped me. It cut beautifully after letting it rest for 15 min and provided us leftovers for the whole week (and we had guests). This will become a staple in our home. Thank you!

Pumpkin Bundt Cake

The pumpkin flavor I have been looking for! I used instant vanilla pudding because that's what I had and doubled the pumpkin pie spices and it came out moist with a delicious pumpkin flavor! Perfect cake for autumn, I'm enjoying it now with some hot tea for breakfast. It was done after exactly 55 min for me in a silicone bundt pan. I love how easy it was to throw together. This will be making an appearance at my Thanksgiving table!

Ginger and Spice Cookies

Delicious and simple, these came out better than I expected! I pressed them down a little bit and them came out with a crispy shell and soft inside. Even the bf, who doesn't like sweets and only crunchy cookies, declared these his new favorite. I sprayed the measuring cup with Pam before measuring the molasses so it wouldn't stick. Thanks!

Sesame Noodles

This was delicious and very simple to throw together. I had it warm for dinner and my boyfriend and I both enjoyed it. I was a bit worried about adding the chili sauce but its the perfect amount to add flavor and not too much bite (I don't like spicy food). I look forward to having it tomorrow cold! Caramel Frosting V

This was a very interesting recipe, but too sweet for my taste. However, my bf who claims to HATE sweets, liked it! (He could have just been nice though because he saw how time consuming it was) After over two hours in the fridge it did not whip up like a frosting, stayed very sticky. I added 2 T of cream and 2 T of powdered sugar - that gave it better consistency but is likely why it is too sweet.

Nutmeg Cake

This delicious cake has a very dense crumb which made it easy to decorate. I made a double layer cake with a crumb coating, and it was beautiful and scrumptious. I enjoyed it a lot - Thank you! Followed the recipe exactly.

Chili con Carne II

This was my first venture into making chili and it came out very well! I was light handed with the paprika because i figured I could always add more. The cinnamon really adds a special flavor to it. I did halve the cloves because my bf hates them :) We made a TON and we are looking forward to freezing and reheating it for the next few weeks.
