Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts III

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2013
I have made this many times and this has been a constant hit. What I did was to put the bacon and water chestnuts for about 20-25 minutes and then blot them to take the grease out. 30 minutes before I want to serve them I would mix the sauce and cook them for 30 minutes.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2012
This has a very good taste, light and fluffy. Not to mention that this doesn't stick in my waffle maker like some others do. I make this ahead of time and put the batter in the refrigerator and used the next couple of days and still come out like I just made the batter. My son just loves this not to mention it is easy for him to help me make it.

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2007
I was reading the past comments and I have incorporated on what the comments have said. I used 2 cans of the Chicken Both and the rice used (I cannot remember what I use but I will come back to this.) I brown the turkey meat with the Onions. (I skipped a step with the butter) When it was time added fresh mushrooms, 1 can of Peas, 2 cups frozen Corn, Water Chestnuts (per recipe). My husband and In-Laws LOVED IT!!!!

Strawberry Spinach Salad I

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2006
I made this salad for my Salad day at work. This was a HIT!! When reading the comments they said to not put in the 1/2 cup sugar. It was hard to do that since I scaled the servings to 12. And that called for 1 ½ cups sugar and I only put a cup in. When making this I also ran out of Olive Oil and I only put a cup of that in. Oh, and I omitted the onions. I also made the dressing in plenty of time and it chilled for about 4 hours. I will definitely make this again. Very refreshing for a summer day!! Thank you!!

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
It was ok. I was reading the past comments and what I did was put 16 cups of water, 3 1/2 Tablespoons of chicken boulon and when it is all said and done, the water cooked down and hardly had any broth for this soup.

Chocolate Turtle Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2004
This was a hit with my Father-in-Law, and the rest of the family loves it as well. The only thing I would try next time is to see if I can out carmel on top. I could taste the carme but not as much as I would like.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2003
Excellent Recipe! Made this for a group of people yesterday and got 2 thumbs up. The only thing I would try next time is to cut down on the Italian sausage and use more ground beef.

Mushroom Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2003
What I did was follow the recipe all the way up to after browning the onions & mushrooms. I then put the pork chops in a baking dish and I made about 3 cups rice and once that was done I then mix 4 cans of cream of mushroom soup together and put that on top of the pork chops and bake at 350 degrees for about 20 min. I just made this tonight and my Husband; Parents & Grandpa really liked it and would like it again in the near future.

Amaretto Cheesecake I

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2003
This was a great recipe!! I got a lot of comments for this. The only thing that I added was 2 more tablespoons of Amaretto. I was going to add Almond extract but I didn't. My family says that the Almond extract is not needed. Keep it just the way you have it.

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2000
My husband and I make this all the time. We even made this for my In-Laws and they loved it!! The only thing I did was that I didn't put the scallons on because I don't like onions but everyone else likes it with the onions.
