Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2012
We loved this! I halved it and didn't worry too much about measurements, and still got a fantastic sauce. Here's what I did: Sautee 2 cloves garlic in 1T butter, add 1 T flour. Whisk in 1 cup milk, heat through. Add 1/2 brick cream cheese, handful of Parmesan, and pepper. Heat until thickened.

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2012
This is a definite keeper - my new go-to recipe for pb cookies. I added 1/4 cups each of flour and peanut butter.

Fried Pork Chop

So quick and easy! We'll definitely use this recipe again in the future. While I prefer the taste of other breading techniques, this gets bonus points for ease.

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2012
YUM! I've never had rice pudding before, but it's definitely the first thing I'll make with leftover rice from now on. I used extra long grain rice, as that's what we happened to have on hand, and it turned out to be delicious. Next time I'll use short or medium grain rice, as many reviewers have said what a difference it makes. I doubled the eggs and didn't add butter, and it was still great.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

I must have baked these too long... all of my batches turned out crisp and crunchy. They were tasty, but not what I was hoping for.

Exquisite Pizza Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2011
Who knew you didn't have to buy premade sauce?? This was a great option for pizzas. I only used a very small amount and froze the rest.

Pumpkin Bread IV

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
This is my favorite pumpkin bread recipe. It's moist and dense, which is what I look for! I do scale back the sugar, but otherwise leave the recipe as is.

Double Quick Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 8, 2011
We ate a few that night, but ended up throwing most of the rolls away. They were extremely easy to make, but very dry and bland - I'd rather put more work into it and get a tastier bread.

Jenn's Out Of This World Spaghetti and Meatballs

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Loved it! We made a few changes based on what we had around the house, but stuck to the heart of the recipe. We browned the meatballs in the pan before adding them to the sauce. Delicious!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2011
This was really good! It was a bit on the spicy side for us - next time we'll use less cayenne pepper and hot sauce.

Best City Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2011
I made this recipe at a cooking class - my first attempt at deep frying! They turned out GREAT. Not a meal I'd make on a weeknight, but fun for a treat.

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2011
Yum! We cut the sugar back to 1 1/2 cups (but added chocolate chips, so no real health benefit there!). We also used half whole wheat flour. I'd recommend both changes.

I used this recipe to make a cake. I thought it tasted great, but it was a bit on the dry side.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2011
I changed this recipe a bit based on reviews, but overall we loved it. My biggest changes were salsa for the taco sauce (simply because I couldn't find it) and layering the meat and beans separately with more burritos between each layer. Will make again!

Chewy Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: May 3, 2011
Love this recipe - extra chewy! Based on other people's comments, I added an extra 1/4 cup of flour - I may bump it up even a bit more next time, as they did spread a bit more than I wanted.

Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2011
I must have done something wrong... I wound up with a lump of melted cheese and milky butter. I used milk instead of cream, but other than that I followed the recipe exactly, even adding the cheese in small doses as the other reviewers suggested. Maybe you just need to add the cheese one pinch at a time. I'll use a different recipe next time, though I may be scared off from alfredo for a while!

Traditional Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2011
This was a delicious dish, though I did deviate from the recipe somewhat. I used about 3 cups of whatever types of cheese we had in the house - some mozzarella, mild cheddar, extra sharp cheddar, and Parmesan. I also used 1 1/2 cup 1% milk instead of the evaporated milk/water combo.

Yummy Artichoke Dip

I think it's humorous that this is a 32-serving recipe. Four of us ate the entire thing during the last Packer game.... oops. That just goes to show how tasty this recipe is! We add minced garlic, and serve it with French bread.

Simple, simple, simple! My lid wasn't quite tight enough, so I used a wooden spoon and my hands. Still, piece of cake!
