Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2009
This recipe is very, very good! The only thing I will try next time is doubling the spices, as I like lots of spice. The recipe is very good as is though.

This was very good. I added chopped chicken breast and made a meal out of it. Great way to use up that garden zucchini! Thank you!

Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2009
This is just heavenly....I did change the recipe a little bit to suit our tastes, but the recipe was a great start. I sauteed garlic, onions and chopped carrots in butter, added the cooked chicken breast and used 6 cups of chicken stock with no water. I made the roux and mixed them together with the rice like the recipe says, and it was delicious. It truly tastes like it was cooked all day. Having a child with food allergies, I was so happy to be able to serve him something so good, and totally safe. Thank you!

Incredibly Easy Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
This recipe is very good. I mis-read the quantity on the cream of chicken soup so I used two small can's, and 2 small can's of cream of mushroom instead. It still turned out perfectly. I had dry egg noodles on hand so I used them instead of the frozen ones, and they worked out well. I will definitely make this recipe again. It is also easy on the wallet. :)

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
This lasagna is absolutely delicious! I followed some tips from other people who reviewed the recipe and cut the spinach down to one box and it was just the right amount for our taste. I sauteed the chicken in olive oil, salt, pepper, and italian seasoning to give it a little zing, and it was a good compliment to the dish. I also substituted the basil and oregano for italian seasoning, and the sauce tied in well with the chicken. I also added a beaten egg in with my ricotta to help it hold up better. The only thing I will do differently next time, is mix the spinach with the ricotta cheese to make it blend better. This recipe is definitely worth the work involved in preparing it, and is a good go-to dish when you need to impress company. :)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
This is honestly the mother of all chocolate chip cookies. I have never had a better cookie. It's texture is perfect and it tastes as wonderful as it looks. They turned out beautifully. The recipe itself is great. The only modification I made was to add a pinch of salt to balance out the sweetness. This will be my only chocolate chip cookie recipe from now on.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This recipe is very good and very easy to work with. Sugar cookies can be a chore, and these were incredibly easy. Next time, I think I will add more sugar and more vanilla to give them some extra sweetness. I iced them with the sugar cookie icing recipe also on this website and they are a hit!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2008
This recipe makes great icing! I have looked and looked and looked some more for icing that yields professional looking results. My search is over, this is it! I do recommend adding more milk than what the recipe calls for. Add it in small amounts until the right consistancy is reached. I put the icing in sandwich bags, snipped off the end and piped it on the cookies. It worked great! Thanks for a winning recipe~

Whipped Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
This recipe was very easy to follow and turned out perfectly. These potatoes can be made ahead of time, frozen, and baked on the day you need it, adding the marshmallows at the last few minutes. Very good! I don't even like sweet potatoes and thought they were good.
