My favorite things to cook
I love to cook anything quick and tasty on weeknights (I'm in love with my crock pot) and the occasional all out dinner party.
My favorite family cooking traditions
On the twelfth night of Christmas I host a dinner party, 4-5 courses, the theme of the dinner party is usually based on foods from my most recent vacation spot.
My cooking tragedies
Many years ago, when I was still a rookie in the kitchen, I hosted a St. Patrick's Day Dinner Party. My Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law were in attendance,my brother in law is known for his spectacular skill in the kitchen,so I was quite eager to make an impression. The menu planned for my Irish feast: Leek soup (mine was like runny mashed potatoes), Shepherd's Pie(mine was like a soft mashed potato pie) and Sherry trifle(fruity mush of pound cake)...can you say mush fest??? My guests looked on calmly as mush course after mush course was brought out, at the end of the meal every one thanked me kindly for dinner and I thanked them kindly for eating it! The best part of the meal with out a doubt was the Guinness!! What I learned from the fiasco: different textures make for an interesting meal, Shepherds pie is best on the second day, and sherry trifle should not be made too far in advance, always serve plenty of Guinness!

Rosemary Ranch Chicken Kabobs
Yummmmy! Used apple cider vinegar as that is what I had on hand, no worchestershire sauce, just lemon juice, ranch,vinegar, rosemary and salt and cooked it on the george foreman! Easy Peasy and delish!
