Cookie Baking Marathon

Good Morning Everyone!

Haven't been on in a while.  Lot's going on here in Tennessee.  Moved mother in law in with us from New Jersey.  Workin out okay despite the Alzheimer's diagnosis.  Will keep you posted.  I decided to bake cookies for the next couple of days.  A local organization is having a fund raiser to help a little boy with heart issues with his medical bills, so part of the cookie baking is for that.  I am making my world famous chocolate chip (can't give out the recipe, sorry) but they are to die for.  I made carrot cake cookies yesterday.  Peanut butter and surprise cookies (which I found the recipe for on Allrecipes website).  Would love some new ideas and recipes for cookies.  Gearing up for my next entry in the Rubbin is Racin spice rub contest at Bristol Motor Speedway for the August race.  Won't be the same without Jeff Byrd (R.I.P.)  I am hoping the protein will be chicken and I can dedicate my recipe to Jeff.  Not sure what rub I am going to do, will "wing" it when they announce the rules this year.  Thanks everyone for your support through my blog and send in those cookie recipes.  Have a great day!

About Me
I'm a mother of three and a grandmother of one and a proud owner of three Yorkie dogs. I have been happily married for 14 years.
My favorite things to cook
Anything italian!!!!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We always have Monkey Bread on Thanksgiving morning. My 8 year old son loves it! We also have seafood feast on Christmas Eve.
My cooking triumphs
First place winner in the Northeast Tennessee Tourism's Home Baker's Cookie Challenge and One of Five finalists in the Levy Restaurants/Bristol Motor Speedway Rubbin is Racin contest three years in a row. Also owned a successful catering business for two years. Catered for some very prominent companies. Appeared on a cooking segment for a local daytime tv show and was asked to come back anytime!!!!!
My cooking tragedies
As with any cook, I occasionally have recipe failures. No One Ever Sees Them!!!! When I was about ten my mother became very ill and it was then that I started my cooking career. My first tragedy was jello. I didn't read the directions well and I added the hot and then the cold water at the same time. You can imagine the result. LOL
