Seasoned Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
These were delicious! My picky hubby, 10 yr old and 21 mo. old actually liked them. They requested them the following week. I mixed 3 lbs. & doubled everything and placed some in the freezer for a quick meal on another day. The second time I made them, I forgot the egg, but nobody noticed.

Pasta with Spinach Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
I was so excited to make this but it was missing something or many things! I ended up putting more bacon, cheese & a little salt and it still tasted below average. Do not keep for leftovers. I made this dish for myself (already knowing the family wouldn't like it)and I tried to eat more the next day.. Also, it took forever to make it because it was so much in the blender, it would not go. I had to keep moving things around over and over and over to get the blender to even blend. It looked like a thick green glob. Will not make again!

Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
My husband really like this. My son & I thought it was pretty good. Make sure you serve as soon as it comes out of the oven, otherwise the cheese cool pretty quick and changes the taste.

Italian Butter

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
This tastes just like Carraba's Italian Butter! My family & I loved it!! We had it with our spaghetti dinner last night. I used minced garlic out of a jar & unlike another reviewer, it did not come out lumpy. I had no problems. It makes much much more than 4 servings.

Roast Chicken with Rosemary

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2009
This was my first time cooking a whole chicken & I plan to do it often now. This was delicious! My family loved it. As other reviewers I rubbed outside with EVOO (extra virgin olive oil), stuffed the cavity with onions. I did not have fresh rosemary, so I sprinkled dried rosemary on the outside and it was delicious, I also placed carrots & potatoes in the roaster with the chicken.

Chicago-Style Pan Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2009
Made this last Friday for our Family Fun Night. My husband LOVED it and requested that I make it tonight (and he doesn't even like tomatoes). My 9 yr, old did not like the tomatoes. I may try with pizza sauce next time. I forgot to pre-bake the bread, but I used the refrigerated dough because I couldn't find the frozen one. The crust was cooked all the way through, so I will keep using the refrigerated dough from now on. Also, tonight I will put a little flour in the baking dish to keep the pizza from sliding OR I will use my cast iron pan. This is a keeper! Oh yeah, I added pepperoni and it was yummy!

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
My Mom & I like to make something different & special each Christmas and we made these this past Christmas. They were delicious! Everyone loved them. They even disappeared just as quick as some of her homemade pies & cakes. The dough was was a bit sticky. I would suggest not leaving them overnight in the fridge because it was pretty hard to get out of the bowl. Next time, I will only chill for (1) hour. I will be making these again. We used the frosting recipe that came with this and it was good also...a little hard to spread, but the taste was really good. We made Christmas trees, candy canes, stockings a few other kinds. We didn't frost all of them and the cookies still were delicious w/o frosting.

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2009
This was delicious! I started to leave out the onions & green pepper because my husband & son don't like them, but I included them anyway. (And they did not say a word.) I did not put as much as the recipe required, but it still was good. Because my husband loves "meat lovers pizza", I used a pound of ground turkey instead of 1/2lbs. I seasoned the turkey with a little seasoning salt, pepper & Italian spices. I also, as other reviews did, used spiral noodles and added much more cheese! I am looking forward to eating this again.

Apple Stuffed Chicken Breast

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2008
This dish was really good. The other reviewers' tips really helped with adding a little seasoning to the chicken. I too (as another reviewer did) slit the sides of the chicken & stuffed it that way. Next time I may try wrapping. Thanks to those who advised me on how to sub for the dry white wine. I used white grape juice and it was really good. Will defintely make again.

Crispy Herb Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
My family loved this chicken. My son is very picky and my husband doesn''t like "skinless" chicken. He loved this recipe and never mentioned anything abouth the skin...I don't think he even knew it was gone. :o)
