Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

The recipe provided was pretty good the first time I had it but I thought it could use some improvement. The second time I made it, I layered the dish with potato slices, finely chopped onion, ham cubes, salt & pepper. I added 2 cloves of fresh chopped garlic to the sauce along with extra cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and fresh parmesan. Before placing into the oven, I sprinkled more parmesan over the top. Remove the cover for the last 30 minutes. Yummy!!!

Baby Back Ribs

These were amazing- even better than some of the ribs I've had in restaurants! I knew they were going to be a hit when my son came home from school and said "Mmmmm...what smells so good?". I made two full racks and not a single one remained! Even my finicky 2 year old loved them. Only two ingredients - what could be easier? The only thing I did different from the original recipe was add a rub consisting of garlic powder, brown sugar, salt & pepper. This one is a definite keeper!!

Buttermilk Pancakes II

Eggless Chocolate Cake II

My husband, who is allergic to eggs, has done without sweets for most of his life because, as you know, baking without eggs is a challenge. Now, being the good wife that I am (haha), I've been searching the internet and trying different eggless recipes. This is the best chocolate cake recipe we have found thus far. It is true to it's description and is very moist HOWEVER both my husband and I feel there is something lacking in the flavor; it tastes a bit bland. My husband just doesn't feel it is "chocolatey" (is that a word?) enough. Perhaps next time I will add a few semi-sweet chocolate squares to the batter. This recipe is a definite keeper - it just needs a tad bit of something extra.
