AWESOME! I did this as a stew served over the biscuits. It was a little too thin so I thickened it with a flour/milk (or you could use water) mixture. I also cooked the chicken in the pan and removed it before sauteing the veggies - a little more of the chicken flavor. Overall this recipe is a big improvement on our old family favorite made with condensed cream of chicken soup, and I will be making it again!
Continued. . .I've made this so many times now. Definitely a go to recipe. Still haven't baked it as a casserole - always serve it over biscuits. I usually add a bunch of vegetables including carrots, beans, corn, potatoes, and pureed zucchini. Also have done it in the crock pot - cook chicken for a few hours till it pulls apart, then add everything else and let cook till veggies are no longer crunchy. So much flavor. So yummy!!
