Slow Cooker Chicken and Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2010
PERFECT for this cold fall day! Put it all in the crock pot (on high) before heading out to a bday party. Got back 3 hours later and pulled the chicken out to slice. We added orzo for about 20-30 minutes and YUMMMMMM! I also opted for 4-5 boullian cubes and some bay leaves. This is going STRAIGHT to my favorites! THANKS SO MUCH!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
WOW! Perfect! Moist and flavorful! I doubled the zuchinni(b/c I had so much.) I used 1/2 cup of applesauce in place of 1/2 of the oil. I substituted 1/2 of the flour with whole wheat flour. I even added some wheat germ and my 6yo daughter was THRILLED with the results. She couldn't BELIEVE there were veggies in there!

Spicy Baked Sweet Potato Fries

Don't know WHY I can't get these to come out crispy - but my 6yo and her friend have dubbed them, "The best thing EVER!" :) I went simple with EVOO and kosher salt. Added cinnamon/sugar to half of the batch.

Mall Pretzels

I'm giving them 5 because I can't give them 6! :) My daughter and her friend (6yo) helped shape them and had a blast! They didn't know they could MAKE pretzels. I've never had success with pretzels but this recipe will be a staple from now on! I'll experiment with different toppings! THANK YOU!

Veronica's Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2009
From my 6yo daughter. "They are super, duper, duper good." I agree! Mine came out fluffy - not flat - which is fine by me! I doubled the recipe and added 1tsp cinnamon. The BEST apple pancakes I've ever made - for sure!

Sopapilla Cheesecake Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2009
My husband is even more in love with me now! :) He said this is the BEST dessert I've ever made. I par-baked the bottom crust for about 7 minutes while I diced some fresh peaches to add on top of the cream cheese mixture. Rolling out the biscuits was easy once I realized I could roll them out into smaller rectangles and lay them (like lasagna noodles). Mmmmmmmmm

Hearty Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup Express

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
EXACTLY what I needed for a house full of sickies. I used barley instead of noodles. It was surprisingly easy and wonderfully satisfying! I made this yesterday and kept it warm in the crock pot. I put the insert with leftovers into the fridge and just put it back on today. Thanks so much for sharing!

Apple Fritters I

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
DELICIOUS! Mmmmmmm -- I used canned apple pie filling because I had no apples on hand. AWESOME results! The way to keep the batter from sticking to the basket - don't drop the batter in - lower it in. As you pour a TBL of batter (best for bite size), don't lift the spoon out right away. Let the batter form a crust and then release the rest of the fritter. THIS is what works! Thanks for a YUMMY treat!
