Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2014
my go to cookies. i cut the butter down this time to 1 and a half sticks just to personal taste. i also melt the butter and cream in sugar before adding. you can use almond extract for cookies that taste (better) than the Chinese carryout cookies.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 27, 2014
this is a wonderful base recipe. So much better than box mix. and easy! fluffy and good. Decrease salt and add sugar and vanilla if you prefer sweeter. Also if you cook on cast iron decrease heat or else it will burn. i suggest medium low.

Heavenly White Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2012
This cake taste more like an angelfood cake to me. I'm not sure if "heavenly white cake" is supposed to taste more like an angelfood cake? The submitter does say it's an older one and maybe it's just not to my taste. Just not what i expected. it is VERY dense cake (think pound cake or angelfood)I did follow all instructions exactly, including sifting, and i did use a bit more milk. If your looking for a birthday cake light and fluffy cake, i would try something else.

Bread Machine Bagels

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2012
My bagels turned out lumpy and thin. i think the method of how you make these bagels should be explained more here. i did the suggestion of other people and added more water and my dough was too watery.

Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2011
Good basic recipe. I love sugar and cloves, but even i thought this called for too much of both. i only did 2 cups sugar and 1 teaspoon clove (it was still very spicy) added a bit of water and cut the butter down also. made muffins and bread and both turned out wonderfull.

Chicken Pot Pie II

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
this took alot of time but was worth it! i used fresh carrots and potatoes, and frozen corn. I also added a bit of rosemary and sage. My personal prefrence for crust was a pie shell on the bottom and phlio dough on top. very good

Cindy's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2008
I don't know what happened to the person who's pie separated, but i have used this recipe for years without fail. this is the best pie you will ever make. my family allways wants me to make it for thanksgiving. Its worth the extra time to use real pumkin if you enjoy the texture of real pumkin pie. if not canned tastes the same but a bit smoother. I have tweaked the spices to my taste (added clove and allspice) This pie is always a huge hit, and we have high standards at our house when it comes to pumpkin pie.
