About this Cook
I like recipes that contain at least one comment complaining about 'too much' of a great ingredient. This would include, but not be limited to, chocolate, butter, cheese, bacon, lemons, sugar, maple syrup, hot peppers, and salt. You can almost always double the amount of any of these and have a better dish.
My favorite things to cook
Cookies and thai food, though not necessarily together.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I liked when Mom would be in the process of burning something and would get tripped by the dog at just about the time Dad would holler at her from the other room. Then she would say the 'F' word over and over and I could usually sneak a pudding cup out of the fridge unnoticed.
My cooking triumphs
I put a regular old egg in the microwave once to see what would happen. It blew the door open and plastered egg all over the kitchen. I'd say it was a triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Probably cutting off the tip of my pinky in a Cuisinart. But I also totally burned some pot cookies once and blew a half ounce. Oh, the horror!

Garlic Croutons
These croutons are killer! I mixed in some parmesan cheese just before baking and it was awesome.

DeeAnn's Cheesy Bacon Cabbage
The best cabbage recipe I've tried. Amazing! I doubled the bacon and pumped up the cheese just a bit. Your arteries might not like it, but your taste buds will find nirvana! Can I get another helping please?
