Peanut Butter Cake II

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2009
This cake was great - strong peanut butter flavor, good texture, and not too sweet. I used chunky peanut butter and a butter-flavored cake mix because it was all I had in the house and the final result was delicious!

Coco-Cola Cake II

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
I'd never had cola cake before and decided to try the recipe on a whim. I guess my expectations were very far off; I figured that the small amount of cocoa involved would boost the cola flavor and the cake would taste like... well, cola. I was very, very wrong. The combination of cocoa and cola resulted in a flavor purgatory - this cake isn't chocolatey enough to be a real chocolate cake but isn't cola-ish enough to really be a cola cake. This cake's ONLY redeming attribute was its texture (most, springy, good crumb).

Chinese Barbequed Spareribs

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
When I found this recipe I knew right away that I had to try it. I went to the store to buy all of the ingredients I didn't have on hand and used substitues for whatever I couldn't find in the store. I used Bragg's Liquid Aminos instead of normal soy sauce, a half and half blend of regular salt and garlic powder instead of garlic salt, and because my local grocery didn't have any cooking wine I used some flat 7Up (

Jiffy Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I used all margarine instead of butter for the dough and margarine for the cinnamon swirl and it was very tasty. The dough was a little odd though - I measured everything exactly (both wet and dry ingredients) and when I mixed the dough it was very goopy. I added another 3/4-1 cup of flour to get it to hold together. Other than that, I have no complaints - these were DELICIOUS!

Vegan Cupcakes

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
I tried this recipe because I didn't have any cow milk or eggs in the house but I really, really wanted some cupcakes. I used vanilla flavored oat milk, cake flour instead of all-purpose flour, and canola oil. The result was fluffy and delicious! :-)

Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Very delicious and easy, though more runny/loose than I thought it would be - I definitely agree with the person who said that this frosting is like spreadable fudge. It tasted good on my cake, but I prefer a thicker frosting. This is delicious on ice cream though, and I'd definitely make this whenever I want homemade fudge sauce for sundaes :-)
