This recipe was wonderful! I tasty way to use extra apples. I am only giving this 4 stars because I made two batches of these and both were a little dry for my taste. My first batch I followed the recipe exactly, and those were considerably more moist than the second batch. On my second batch I did not have any nuts in the house, so I substituted the same amount of old-fashioned oats in its place. And I drizzled some honey over the top before baking in addition to the cinnamon and sugar. Those bars were more cake-like and much more dry. I ended up glazing both batches with a simple powdered sugar glaze to moisten them up. They were delicious! I will be making these again, that's for sure!
