Crispy Orange Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
This was a very flavorful recipe. The ginger was overpowering, so next time I'll use less.

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2012
This was a great rub for my pork roast. My roast was on the smaller side and I used the whole recipe of rub on it because I love flavor- but it was a bit overpowering for me! Next time I'll cut it back.

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2010
I made two batches of this bread. While the first one baked I left the second batch of batter in the fridge. (I only have one loaf pan) The second one tasted better, like the flavors had a chance to meld together. This bread was delicious!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
These JUST came out of the oven! The taste and texture is wonderful. I used frozen fresh blueberries I picked a couple months ago- so I lowered the oven temp to 375 per another reviewer's suggestion (the suggestion was actually for 325, but I thought that was really low). And for the topping I used 1/4 cane and 1/4 brown sugar. I didn't pile on the topping, but I think the consistency was too heavy, because while baking, the topping kind of gathered in the middle and all the muffins have little craters in the middle. They didn't puff up nicely. But- they taste delicious!!!

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2009
My husband's new favorite lasagna. His old fav was Stouffer's- haha! The recipe was phenomenal! Pretty easy to follow. I found it easier to shred the mozzarella cheese- it made it easier for me to assemble.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
I swear I followed it to a "T" but the cookies came out flat and thin. I'm sure there was too much butter or not enough flour. The flavor is great! Everyone else seems to like the recipe-

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2009
Great flavor in the sauce! The apples and pecans were great in it! The pork came out dry. I've never really had much luck with pork being juicy anyways. Next time I'll triple the sauce and bake chops in a casserole as other reviewers have recommended. This made a great fall time dinner!

An easy recipe to follow. I didn't have time to wait the full hour though. I used fresh blueberries- which were delicious!

Pork Chops with Raspberry Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2009
Such a great recipe! This was very easy to make. The herbs on the chops are great just on their own. The sauce was perfect- I agree it was a bit strong when tasting it by itself but was perfect with the pork chops. I think I'll try the sauce as a dressing on a salad with chicken, walnuts, dried cranberries, etc.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
I made these for the super bowl, so I used the lines to make them look like little footballs. So cute! I ended up having to bake them for twice as long (maybe I didn't flatten them enough?).

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
Great and easy recipe. I used bone in, skin on, cut up chicken because I needed to use it up- and I would not recommend this. The skin made the liquid pretty greasy. I sprinkled salt, pepper, and chicken seasoning on the chicken. I put the onions and some carrots in there from the beginning and I thought it turned out nice. I did have to add some flour-water mixed to the liquid to thicken it up a bit as it was pretty clear. Next time I'll try to make bisquick biscuits- my husband does not like the canned ones. I'll definitely put this one in the recipe book!

Gingerbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
While this recipe was super easy to work with, it turned out quite bland- it did not pass the husband test. I guess I prefer a spicier cookie. If I make it again I'd add more spices overall. I'll keep searching for a good gingerbread cookie recipe!

Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2008
Better than usual sugar cookies! I used the recipe to make wedding favors. They didn't come out perfectly round, so I used a biscuit cutter to make them perfect. Then Iced them with the Sugar Cookie Icing from Janice Brubaker. Everyone loved them!
