Aunt Mariah's Lemon Sponge Cups

Reviewed: May 29, 2013
Great recipe, but one cup of sugar was a bit much. I will try 3/4 cup for the next batch. Also, the mix will fill four 4x2" ramekins. Thanks for posting!

Cream of Mushroom Soup I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2011
One of the best and I've had. A few small notes, you can substitute cognac if you don't have sherry. I doubled the half & half and chicken stock (organic), and only pulsed four times to retain larger mushrooms. I also used fresh ground pepper, and unsalted butter. Simply great, thank you for sharing.

Simple Whole Wheat Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Who needs expensive and additive-filled supermarket bread when you can make this wonderful recipe? It's light, easy to make, and so tasty. I mixed flaxseed into it for a bit of texture. Thank you for posting!

Veronica's Apple Pancakes

I doubled the recipe and increased the cinnamon to 1 tablespoon. The end result was quite bland so I may add raisons if I decide to make them again.

World's Best Lasagna

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2010
Very good lasagna. I made just a few minor changes by adding 1 tsp nutmeg to the ricotta cheese, I skipped the beef, used 1 tablespoon on raw sugar, and let it simmer for 3 hours. I almost needed help lifting it into the oven it was so heavy! Thanks for posting.

Enjoyable to make and it has a wonderful taste and texture. I don't have a bread machine, so I put it in the oven at 350 until the knife came out clean. Thank you for posting.

Korean Spicy Chicken and Potato (Tak Toritang)

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Good recipe - thank you for posting. I used thigh meat and added two teaspoons of fresh ginger, I also added 2 chopped pieces of celery for an extra texture and skipped the white sugar by adding just 1 tablespoon of raw sugar. I also skipped the hot pepper paste but did add crushed red pepper. Looking forward to having it again!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
This is the best pot pie I have ever tasted! Instead of chicken, I used Boars Head turkey breast and cubed it and used frozen mixed veggies in place of just the peas. We can't wait to have it again! Thank you for posting.

This was a great pie! The nutmeg was a bit strong, so I might cut it back to 1/4 teaspoon next time. THANK YOU!

This bread is so delicious! I used one cup of wheat flour in place of one cup of white. I also used 1/2 cup of raw brown sugar instead of the 1 cup of white sugar. This is a great recipe - thank you!

Sorry to break the news, but these are not the "World's Best". I would say they are a very good example of a basic scone recipe.
