I love to eat and travel; I have no formal training, but I live to learn and perfect my craft.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Indian food and pan-Asian fare. I also lived in Birmingham, England and have a soft spot for traditional English food. My favorite dishs are Steak and Kidney Pie and a good Full English Breakfast.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is a family of travelling foodies and this was mostly because my dad used to work for a big airline company, back when you used to get free and reduced flights. He has inspired my adventurous side, as well as my grandfather who lived on the upper eastside of Manhattan for many years. That is where much of my love for food begins.
My cooking triumphs
I am skilled in sauces and world cuisine, but try to learn in all areas of cooking everyday.
My cooking tragedies
I cut myself bad, chopping ginger once. I had to go to the hospital. I didn't need stiches, but it was close. I burnt a port reduction once and it smelled horrible.
