Trout with Lime and Thyme

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
I was looking for something simple and full of flavor and this did the trick. I didn't have fresh thyme but was goes great with lime, fresh cilantro of course. Keep other ingredients mostly same, omitted pepper, used a Chile lime seasoning I had on hand. It is 15 degrees here, so no grilling! Broiled in oven with marinade on for about 10 minutes

Colleen's Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
This was restaurant quality, my husband loved it. Lots of flavor and mine came out spicy. One recipe that I don't have to make any changes.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: May 1, 2012
My kids and I made this tonight. I took other reviews and used 3 oz of gelatin. I also added a little sugar to strawberries while I made the cake to bring out more juice. My cake cooked in 30 min. Kids really liked and so did I. We added whip cream to top. Could not really taste the marshmellows.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2011
Great pancakes, that the whole family enjoyed. I've made these two weekends in a row. Went and bought a griddle, and they came out even better. I used canned pumpkin. The only change I made was replaced vinegar with 1 tBLS of vanilla extract. Thought vinegar was weird choice. We topped with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2011
These came out really good, even my kids liked it! Only made a few changes, used evaporated mik, which is better in the slow cooker. Also added an additional table spoon of sugar, 1 table of vanilla extract and cinnamon. 1/2 before serving added little more brown sugar on top, and mini marshmellows.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 10, 2010
I followed all the directions, except I did mash the bananas, and I used light sour cream. In the last 15 minutes of cooking I did reduce my oven by 25 degrees, as the top was browining quickly in my oven. I also sift my flour and melt the butter.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2010
Very good recipe, I also mashed the bananas and used light sour cream. I aslo reduce the oven temp in the last 15 minutes by 25 degrees as the top was cooking quickly. i added walnuts to top and only a few in the bread, as I am not a big fan of walnuts.
