Meringue Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
I was very nervous about making these mushrooms. The meringue is delicious and they were much easier to make than I expected. I watched a video on YouTube also - this alleviated some of my reluctance.

Buche de Noel

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2013
Bakeries charge a fortune for these cakes so this was my motivation. I was amazed at how easy this was to make. A KitchenAid mixer is a 'must have' to make short work of this cake. I followed the recipe exactly and used the filling as the frosting also. I doubled the recipe and made a single log with multiple branches. Absolutely delicious and a big hit at the holiday party. Make sure to make the Meringue Mushrooms on allrecipes as the perfect garnish. (They are fun to make and much easier than I expected.)

Sopapilla Cheesecake Dessert

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2009
Followed the recipe exactly--delicious. Made for a party and it was a hit. People asked to take the leftovers home. Just a couple tips: 1.Assembled the dessert the night before 2.Baked the dessert while everyone was eating dinner. Served it freshly baked and warm. Perfect.

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Based on previous reviews, I added a dollop of sour cream and extra blueberries. Very moist and delicious. Just a warning, this is not a sweet muffin but that's my favorite kind.

Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
A real crowd pleaser! I made about 100 for a progressive dinner, they were gone within 30 minutes. I followed the advice of previous reviews: 1.Ran the smokies and bacon pieces through brown sugar before assembling, 2. Used Reynolds Release foil 3. Baked for 50 minutes at 350 (partly because I used thick sliced bacon). Thanks for the recipe!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Great Recipe. Just made a couple changes--used chicken broth instead of water (skipped the bouillon and the salt) and I doubled up the ham. DELICIOUS and FAST!!
