Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2013
Delicious and so easy! I used pork loin instead of tenderloin and Bullseye Carolina bbq sauce. Served on buns with Paula Dean's Buttermilk Coleslaw.

Brazilian Black Bean Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2012
Delicious!! I was looking for a recipe to use some chorizo I picked up from a local meat company. As written, the sodium content is super high, so I used low sodium, organic canned beans and tomatoes and omitted the extra salt. Also omitted the oil, and it was perfect!

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Great recipe! I added chocolate chips and baked in a bundt pan.. The recipe was the perfect amount for the pan. I also added a bit more of each of the spices and topped with a cream cheese glaze.

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2011
Very good! I used all chiles instead of jalapenos as I didn't want to make it too spicy for my guests. Topped with the cheese rather than mixing it in, and also served with fresh cilantro, tortilla chips, and sour cream.

Earthquake Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2011
Made with a batch with DH devil's food and another with lemon for a neighborhood cookout. They both came out excellent but the chocolate cookies were eaten much quicker.

Pear and Blue Cheese Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
This salad is amazing! It was a hit at Christmas... almost everyone had seconds. I used olive oil instead of walnut. Next time I will cut the dressing recipe in half because it made a LOT.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Banana cake is my favorite, and this is the best I've had! Typically I make it with half a recipe of Sour Cream Chocolate Frosting from this site. This past time I topped it with the peanut butter icing from this recipe, and it took it to another level! I swapped the nuts for chocolate chips for my chocolate fix. http://www.sprinklebakes.com/2012/04/peanuts-in-my-coke-cocoa-cola-cupcakes.html

Yum! These were a hit! I followed the recipe as is. They definitely needed to sit overnight before I could attempt cutting them nicely.

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2009
Very good and simple to make. I add sliced mushrooms and white wine, and I wait to cut the chicken until I add in the cream cheese and soup. I like it over egg noodles.

Smothered Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
I made a few changes to this- I cooked the bacon and drained some of the grease, added the onion and garlic as well as sliced mushrooms. Meanwhile I steamed the grean beans and then added them to the bacon mix. This worked well so it wasn't too greasy and the bacon flavor wasn't overwhelming.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2009
This was good and easy! Only one package of biscuits is needed as two was way too much.
