I have always enjoyed cooking and now that I have a family to cook for I am looking for new and interesting things to try. My husband eats anything so I am lucky to have him for my experiments. I am a stay at home mom and love it.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking with chicken and making desserts. I would like to perfect peanut brittle, but it seems to be a challenge for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I have always made lasagna and spaghetti and people love it. As far as family traditions I did learn from my Grandmother how to cook big meals, but there was nothing in particular that she focused on, that I can remember.
My cooking triumphs
I mastered a recipe off of Racheal Ray called cobb pasta. I LOVED IT but my husband was not a fan because it had blue cheese in it. Next time i will make him a special bowl without blue cheese.
My cooking tragedies
PEANUT BRITTLE!!! Ahhh! Everytime I try it SOMETHING goes wrong. My latest disaster...i got it right but i didnt have a cookie sheet to put it on and thought that my plates would be okay....NO. it glued itself to my plates and I had to throw them all away. My fault. Major brain fart!
