Perhaps it's just me. This is the first time I have made "Dutch Babies" and, honestly, I have never tried them before. How are they really supposed to look and taste. I read all sorts of descriptions, but different people describe them differently. Anyhow, I followed the directions making no changes whatsoever, and, in the end, it tasted just like an egg custard pie without the crust. I'm not sure if they are really supposed to taste and look that way or not. The one I made was fluffy and pretty when it came out of the oven, but by the time I had sprinkled powdered sugar on it, it had collapsed. Anyhow, I didn't see anything too special about the finished product. I won't say it was good or bad. Consider my opinion relatively "neutral" --no strong feelings in either direction. By all means -- try it at least once and then you will know whether or not it is your "cup of tea"
