Made these muffins today and they were absolutely delicious without any modification to the original recipe except for the use of frozen blueberries. I did, however, make them in jumbo dark coated muffin tins necessitating the temperature of the oven to be reduced to 375 degrees and they baked perfectly at 27 minutes in an electric oven. I filled 6 jumbo cups 3/4 full and added all of the topping. the muffins came out looking like I went to a bakery. They were 3" high! I think these muffins would be just as delicious without the topping which I found to be rather crunchy and sweet. Maybe just a light sprinkle of cinnamon/sugar on top would suffice. These are a definite keeper! I will never use a box mix again.
