About this Cook
I have 8 beautiful Grandchildren, 3 dogs, Mitzi is a Shi tzu, Zoey is a peekinese, and Maxine is my little yorkie. The first 2 dogs were gifts and the third was my pick. I love to machine embroider and cook. I have been married now for ten years. I raised my 3 boys alone and they are now off with their own Families.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cabbage rolls for new years.
My cooking triumphs
Cabbage rolls ( My brother and Father use to compete for the golden trophy "it was a cabbage" when my Father was alive on New Years day. I started winning the trophy every year as I improved the recipe. When Dad died we buried it with him as he was the cabbage roll king.
My cooking tragedies
I can not seem to make good chili. It's insane.

Spicy Chicken Breasts
I make this rub but I add 2 tablespoons of brown sugar. Now it's heat and sweet.

Homemade Butter
This was way easy. I used my food prossesor and in about 5 min. I had butter. Sweet creamy butter. I usually buy at 3.49 a pound but now I have 2 pounds for about 3.78. Oh and the trick with the liquid is use a spatula and squeeze it out. I"ts really easy. I read that trick here here and used it. I added a little salt. I think it's creamier than store bought.

Fettuccine with Sweet Pepper-Cayenne Sauce
This was so easy and very good. I only used about an 1/8 of a cup of cayenne and it was plenty hot enough for my husband. I have also added boneless skinless chicken breast. WONDERFUL!!
