Sweet Corn Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
This recipe is amazing! I did make some modifications and it was out of this world. I like my cornbread sweet and fluffy so I added an extra egg and an extra 1/4 cup of sugar. I also substituted plain yogurt for the sour cream (no sour cream in Turkey). My father and I thought it was perfect, but my mother and sister thought it was just a bit too sweet; so I may use only 1/3 cup of sugar next time. Absolutely delicious!

Basil Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2009
I loved this! I tried it with fusilli but made a few changes: I used 2T olive oil instead of butter to make it a bit healthier and only 1 clove garlic because I'm not really a fan. I used twice the amount of parmesan stated in the recipe. Finally, I was disappointed to see that I didn't have any basil so I had to omit that. It was still awesome, though I'm sure it tastes even better with basil. I'm going to try that ASAP. PS: It's not nearly as good when you reheat it so try to eat it all when you first make it! Trust me, it won't be hard. ;)

Eileen's Spicy Gingerbread Men

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
These are the best! I've made these 3 times in the past month and everyone seems to like them--including my sister who claims to hate ginger. I don't use all of the molasses, though. I add about 2T molasses and use honey for the rest because I don't really like molasses. These cookies are awesome!

Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2009
I tried these with vanilla pudding and everyone liked them but they were crispy and not cake-like like the recipe said. I had to bake them at 400F for about 15 minutes because my oven always takes ages to cook/bake. I also added a little less butter (little more than 1/2 cup) and it turned out great. But pretty crispy. Does anyone know how I can make them softer?
