Me and my Hubby
About this Cook
I am happily engaged and almost married. I've loved to cook for quite a while.. even though I was forced into it as a kid haha. I love trying different foods, don't get me wrong though, I do love comfort foods. I'm not huge on sweets but I love to make them for others.
My favorite things to cook
Bread... mainly because I love to eat it. Stir fry and Mexican foods. I love anything that I can grill.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Unfortuantely we have none.. except that my Grandmother always makes a blackberry cobbler for either Thanksgiving or Christmas.
My cooking triumphs
The only thing I've ever burned while cooking was chocolate while making my famous no-bake cookies. Also, I made an entire Thanksgiving dinner all by myself.
My cooking tragedies
Green bean cassarole for thankgsiving was a killer.. I misread TSPs for TBSs and ended up with a veerrrryy salty Green Bean Cassarole.

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes
This was so good! I followed the recipe to a T and these were delicious! So good in fact, I didn't even need syrup. Fluffy, yet dense and full of flavor. This is my new go to recipe for pancakes.

Cheese Mexican Corn Spoon Bread
I enjoyed this! I did modify and use ground sausage in lieu of beef and used pepper jack cheese, otherwise stayed true to the recipe. I'll make again but maybe add more cheese and sausage to help make it a bit more savory since the cornbread was somewhat sweet.

Stuffed Shells IV
Oh my goodness delicious! I subbed the turkey for Italian sausage but otherwise stuck to the recipe as is. I paired this with a salad and garlic bread. Absolutely tastey, I will make again.
