Best Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2013
This frosting had the best taste. I used it for a layer cake and it worked beautifully. The only issue I had was that it was a little clumpy. Next time, I will add the powdered sugar and milk a little at a time to see if that helps. Super good!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Best banana bread ever! Like others I didn't have enough bananas so I added a scoop or two of applesauce to make up the difference. Just experiment, this recipe is really forgiving and it turns out awesome.

Shrimp with Penne and Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2010
I followed the recommendations of others and left out the green onions and added chopped onions. I also used bowtie pasta and grated some mozzarella on top before serving. I can see why others might say that it is bland. Next time I make it, I will add more spices and probably extra garlic. Delicious! Between 4 adults and 3 kids, there were no leftovers.

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Reviewed: Aug. 2, 2010
Delicious! I didn't have 2% so I used whole milk and it turned out perfect. I took the advice of other reviewers and shaved a bar of semi-sweet chocolate. I think it ended up being about 2/3 cup of shavings and it was just right. Thanks for the recipe!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2010
My search for the perfect chocolate chip cookie is finally over!!! These were so unbelievable. I followed the recipe perfectly and perfection is what I got. It is a little heavy on the chocolate chips so next time I will back off a little. I greased my pans and did not refrigerate the dough. They did not fall flat. AMAZING.

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
This frosting is amazing! I read through lots of reviews and here's what worked for me: I whipped the cream in a cold metal bowl and put it back in the fridge. I mixed the rest of ingredients, then added the whipped cream a little at a time until it looked/tasted good to me. I did not use all the whipped cream. I think 1 cup of whipped cream might work. I could not stop tasting it and it's awesome on Frosted Banana Bars on this site!!

Ham and Swiss Braid

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2010
We loved this! I had a jar of yeast and used 4 1/2 teaspoons. I didn't use 4 cups of flour, it ended up being closer to 3 1/2. The dough was really stiff and a little hard to work with, but it came out great. I took the advice of others and drizzled a little mustard inside before braiding. The result was a lovely warm ham and cheese sandwich with a little mustard and pickle zing. We sliced it and took it on a picnic!

So good! I used 8 mini loaf pans and baked for 35 mins. They were the best for holiday neighbor gifts!

Pasta with Peas and Sausage

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Very good but heavy. We couldn't eat a lot of it. I would try just making a white sauce with 1% and using that instead of the cream.

We loved this! I didn't get what purpose the marshmallows served...maybe next time I'll try it without.

Fondue Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Great recipe! I used less cheese (about 8 oz) as suggested by others and thought it could use more. I didn't have almonds, so we went with out and it was just fine.
