Bacon Mushroom Swiss Meatloaf

Grilled Pork Chops with Fresh Nectarine Salsa

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Wow! Moist & dark. I added sliced almonds and reduced the sugar to 2 cups and it was perfect. 3 cups of sugar is just too sweet. I found my favourite brownie recipe.

Wonton Soup without Ginger

Very nice. I love the taste of sesame oil. Gives the soup that authentic oriental taste. I added chunks of chinese cabbage and bok choy. Adults enjoyed it. Finished the whole pot and they're still hungry!

So yummy even my 3 year old daughter ate it. I used wholemeal lebanese bread or pita bread is also good. Then I put it in the oven on high to melt the cheese quickly and give it a bit of burn effect. It is very crispy and taste gourmet like woodfire pizza. I like that the filling are healthy for you. Thanks Allie.

Tender Italian Baked Chicken

I made a mistake of mixing all ingredients including bread crumbs. doh! So I spread the mixture using butter knife on chicken breast, both sides. I think its important to use non-stick baking paper to brown both sides easily and easier to turn using large spatula, this way all crumbs stay put on chicken. I used medium thickness of chicken breast (if your chicken breast is thick, slice it in 3). The mixture covered 5 pieces. I baked it at 345 F.(fan-forced oven) keeping an eye on it because this coating tends to burn easily. I have a picture of how mine turned out. It was very tender at the same time the topping is crispy and delicious. Will keep making this.

Simple 'N' Delicious Chocolate Cake

Really yummy. Easy to make. Moist and dark. Comes out perfect all the time. 10 serving shown here will make a small size cake. I doubled the recipe to make a good size birthday cake. Both kids and adults will enjoy this cake. A word of advice, this cake is sooo addictive especially for grown-ups. I think it's because it's not sweet at all so you feel less guilty when you eat it. I also made it into cupcakes and again, a success! It made about 8 or 9 regular size cupcakes. I think cupcake is a good serving size. It definitely helps me not to over indulge.

Beefy Chinese Dumplings

WOW! Taste like restaurant yumcha. I would suggest to use green onions. This gives the recipe an authentic oriental taste. I tried boiling and frying, both ways are delicious. About 500 grams ground beef will make 80 plus dumplings - that's if you fill it with 1 teaspoon(not heaping)per dumpling. Teaspoon size filling is good because wonton wrapping cooks so fast. If you put too much filling you will end up with burnt wonton, uncooked filling.If you are frying it, the temperature should not be too hot or the wonton wrapping will brown too quickly or burn.You can also freeze this recipe.I used glad wrap in between layers to prevent dumplings from sticking.No need to thaw out if using it frozen.Just make sure your water is boiling before dropping the dumplings.If frying your dumplings, your cooking oil temperature should be similar to frying an egg.This recipe is a keeper!

Basic Crepes

easy to make and very yummy! It's my first time to make crepes and it was a success! I was surprised it's easy to turn although it was very thin. You will notice the edges separating/lifting off the pan. Would suggest to use a teflon kind of pan. Will definitely keep making this. thanks for the recipe:)

Sour Cream Pound Cake

I used cupcakes instead of a rectangular pan. It came out beautiful. It made 11 good size cupcakes. The top is crunchy, the middle is moist and spongy. Nice to eat while still warm. To be successful in baking this cake or any cake you have to know your oven. Cakes bake at different temp because we use different size/height/width of pans or cupcakes. Keep in mind baking time/temp vary in oven performance as well (from electric, gas or fan-forced). You have to adjust the temp according to size/deepness of the pan you are using. I do think 375 is too hot to bake this cake. The top will burn quickly. My oven is a small fan-forced oven, I set the temp to 275 F. At 30 mins, I checked it - the top was golden brown but the toothpick came out with cake batter so i put it back for another 10 mins. So mine only took 40 mins to bake cupcakes. When I used a rectangular pan, I also set the temp at 275 and checked it at 30 mins. From there I checked it every 10 mins until a toothpick inserted into center of cake came out clean.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Not bad, but not excellent. There's nothing special to this recipe. The ingredients are basic. It taste good, but ordinary. I might make it again in the future. This recipe is great for lazy days. Those days when you don't feel like cooking anything too grand or complicated.
