Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2009
More a sugar cookie than a snickerdoodle. I suggest NOT adding brown sugar to the ball rolling mixture. I used 1 C butter instead of half C butter and half C shortening. Also, my one regret was not adding a touch of nutmeg. The cookies tasted great, but they just tasted like sugar cookies. This recipe is great but I'll probably try a different recipe next time.

Too Much Chocolate Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
I made a cube cake. It was 5 layers with the frosting between each layer. I used half mini and half regular ch chips, they made it more chocolaty. It was a lot of work and a challenge to cut but definitely worth it. A+ recipe, thank you.

Hot Fudge Pudding Cake III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
Cooked it by the book except for cup H2O instead of 1.75. I thought it was incredible but dad thought it was missing coffee. I will add vanilla next time, I regret forgetting to add it this time. We (4) finished it w/in 30 min... so maybe a double batch next time. A+ I will make this again.

Molasses Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2008
I had to cook them 12 min to get rid of the goo inside the cookie. Also, I didn't understand all that stuff about melting butter on the stove, nobody does that, melt it in the microwave and add it to the mix. This is a one-bowl recipe. They were a little too salty for me, but everyone else liked them. I copied the other poster and did 1 cup white and 1 cup brown sugar and I added a t of nutmeg. The rolling of the cookies in the granulated sugar would be fun for a minor, too bad there were none around. Not the best, but still a fun recipe.

Molten Chocolate Cakes With Sugar-Coated Raspberries

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2008
It was like an uncooked brownie, no goo in the center as promised. I recently measured the temp of my oven, its w/in a normal range of the set temp, so that wasn't the problem. I followed the recipe exactly except for the paper cupcake cups, I sprayed the cupcake tin with non-stick cooking spray and powdered w flour, they came out easily. I'll try the other 'Molten Chocolate Cakes' recipe next time... or just buy the betty crocker version at Wegmans.
