Bread Pudding II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
My husband requested Bread Pudding for Christmas dessert and I was very happy with this choice of recipe. As suggested for the holiday meal, I used both eggnog and milk (1/3 eggnog & 2/3 milk) and raisin bread. All else was the same as written & it was wonderful! I'll definately make it again!

Zuppa Inglese

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I made this for Christmas and WOW it was beautiful and delicious! I made no changes to the recipe and it is a "keeper". I can only imagine the real Italian version as the previous reviewer shared. Must be over the top, but you cannot go wrong serving this very simple to make and elegant dessert! Thanks for sharing it!

Asian Tuna Patties

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
When I saw this, I just had to make it since I love tuna, and this was a wonderful change of pace! I also made mini patties, wrapped them in romaine lettuce and used dipping sauces as another reader suggested! Yummy!!

Skillet Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I made this at Christmas since I wanted something different from the traditional green bean casserole and it was a hit and welcome change. I did use fresh beans, and just precooked them in boiling salted water for about 5 minutes. I also topped it off with a little crumbled turkey bacon.

Monkey Bread I

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2008
I loved this recipe. I used this reciped for Christmas gifts, and instead used 8" loaf pans. I bought a bunch of the 4 packs with 7-1/2 oz. buiscuit cans and used 1-1/2 cans for each loaf pan and in it 3 layers of the prepared quartered buiscuits with chopped pecans sprinked between layers. Once cooled, I put on wax paper, then wrapped in clear cello Christmas paper! Great gifts from the kitchen.

Spaghetti Squash I

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
This was wonderful and a keeper! I substituted the black olives with some Basil Pesto (Classico brand) and it was yummy! I used canned diced tomatoes, drained, and that made it even easier!

Fish Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2008
I loved this recipe! It was fabulous and I'll use it again! I did add a little more Old Bay, and used white pepper instead of black. And when I reheated some later, I added just a touch of Sherry, which made it even more awesome!
