This is undoubtedly the best smokey and spicy marinade for chicken I have ever used. What a winner!

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This is the very best cornbread recipe I have ever come across. It is now the only one I use.

Browned Butter Vegetables with Almonds

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2009
Another Allrecipes dish to stay in my meal lineup. My DH proclaimed them the best! "Can we have this again soon", was his final comment. Excellent Wilemom!!!

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2009
This is THE Meatloaf recipe!! I followed other reviewers advice and put the ketchup/brown sugar on top and it turned out perfectly. I gave it 5 stars because the meatloaf itself can not be improved.! I felt the topping was too sweet and needed salt...which it probably would have gotten if the meatloaf had sat on it to bake. Will add a little salt to the topping next time but every thing else will stay just the same. I am not known for making good meatloaf, finally my DH didn't shake his head this time. He was too busy eating! Thanks tangastar!

Good for You Greek Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2009
Is this great or what? Just the right balance of veggies and dressing. I really did think "Greek Salad". The DH loved it too, and he is not much of a salad eater! Easy to prep and hold for hours in the fridge. You can toss together and serve in a minute. Thank you Jen!

Sloppy Joes I

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2009
This is THE recipe I have been hunting for! Fond memories of church camp sloppy joes. I can't stand the tangy ketchup based loose meat sandwiches. This is my favorite. Thanks Nancy.

This is definitely one I'll use again. Much better than the old cheese sauce routine. Thanks Shellery!

Butter Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
Though my husband liked it I found it too lemony and the chicken was dry. I cooked it 20 minutes less than suggested. The idea is good but will adjust the lemon amount next time and of course the cooing tome.

Cucumbers in Sour Cream

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
Ding-Ding-Ding We have a winner! The cucumbers came out sooo crispy and the sweet tart dressing was just perfect. If you are a dill lover, this would be good to add as well. Now we know what to do with that bumper crop of cukes. Additional note: Serve Immediately!

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw II

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2009
This coleslaw is the gold standard for mayo based slaws. It accepts you own custom ingredients well, like grated onion for that KFC taste, or green pepper or chopped apples, the list is endless. This should be a keeper for any cookbook!

Swedish Meatballs I

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2009
This tasted fairly good with another reviewer's additions of sour cream, garlic and horseradish. This was actually my first time having swedish meatballs. I am still not a fan of beef with a white sauce, but it certainly doesn't mean the recipe is not good.

Smoky Mexican Pork Stir Fry

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
I give this 5 stars for the spicy pork mixture. I really didn't like it parked on the lettuce but that is minor. Also great as a leftover for quesadillas.

Field Grade Spaghetti Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
Tried this last night. I had to make a few changes because I didn't stock a few items. This is a great sauce. I had to replace red wine so, believe it or not, to make the 1/2c "Red wine" I used 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar and the rest brewed coffee. Complimented the cinnamon and allspice very well. I hate to change others' recipes but this turned out super.
