Make sure that you run your crust up the sides of your pan before baking the first time, other than that....M-M-M-M-GOOD!! Nuff said!!

Chocolate Scotcheroos

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Excellent!!!!! I did use crunch peanut butter as that was all I had. Next time I may spread them out on a cookie sheet to make them thinner and easier to cut. Thanks for a keeper!!

Cream Cheese Bars I

Reviewed: May 11, 2009
Wonderful except for the pan size. I used my cookie sheet and that wasn't deep enough BUT the part that ran over the edge and overcooked a little was the best part. I will definitely make again and will try it like another reader said....to make it with lemon cake and flavorings. Thank you!!!!

Baked Potato Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2006
Actually this should be 10 stars!!! I made this (without testing it first) for a baked potato potluck at work. It was inhaled and the next day people were looking for leftovers. Everyone wanted the recipe. What a winner!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!!

Kentucky Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
I wanted to try these for biscuits and gravy. When I made them yesterday, I didn't have buttermilk so I thought I would just add a little more butter and use skim milk (which is what I had on hand). Well I was doing good until I had a brain fade and added water instead of the milk. I didn't even think about it until after they came out of the oven. They weren't bad except I should have baked them a little longer in my oven. They were a little doughy but good enough. I can't wait to try them with the right ingredients if they turn out that well with the wrong ones!!! teehee!! Thanks for a keeper!!!!

Ryan's Favorite Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2006
I am not a fan of lima beans in baked beans but I thought I had to try this one. The only thing I changed was the meat as I had ground turkey in the freezer instead of beef. I made this on Sat for a potluck on Tues. I definitely will keep this recipe handy. It was very easy and the flavor very good. (Even if it did have lima beans in it!! teehee)

Apple Cake III

Reviewed: May 1, 2006
I need after church snacks on Sunday morning. I modified this redipe only to cut up the apples with a pastry cutter before I added the rest of the ingredients. I then filled mini muffin pans 1/2 full and added the crumbles on top. They baked up so nice and went over very well at church. The ingredients are a lot like the Cartoon Cake on this website (another favorite!!) Thank you for sharing!!! I will get a lot of use out of this recipe.

Purple Cow Smoothie

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
I haven't tried this recipe but I used to make a quicker version all the time when I was a kyd (about 35-40 yrs ago). I had found a recipe that just called for grape juice and milk and it was great. This has got to be even better!!

Cartoon Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2005
I first made this for my son's 30th birthday and made major brownie points with it. Then I started taking it to work and had to give the recipe out to a good number of coworkers including some of the doctors who went home and told their wives about it. Thanks for a great addition to my recipe collection!!

Pork and Bean Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2004
I first made this over a year ago and took it to work. I wouldn't tell anyone what was in it and made them guess before I would tell them. Obviously no one guessed correctly but it was liked by all. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing!!

Syrian Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2003
Excellent!! I make a lot of different kinds of breads but I haven't tried a flat bread like this before. Next time I think I will make the sections smaller so I can take them to work for potlucks. The flavor and texture was very good. Thank you!!!

Turkey Dressing Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2002
For some reason it didn't seem to have enough liquid to mix it up in the machine. I made it twice and added a little warm water while it was mixing (just enough water to pull it together.) I think the celery seed is a little strong but that is an easy fix. Right out of the oven it is excellent. I think it ranks right up there with the chili bread I have made from this website. It smells great mixing AND baking. Thanks for another keeper!!

Corn Chowder IV

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2002
I did it all backwards. I didn't read the directions before hand and I put it all in a small pressure cooker and put it on too high of a temp. Despite it all I will definitely make again and just throw it all in together in the crockpot. I'm sure that it will work just as well that way. Excellent after a cold day. Thank you!!

Focaccia Bread

Just about what I was looking for. I added thin slices of onion and green peppers to the top before I baked it and it just got better after a day or two. I will try more variations the next time I try it. Thanks so much!!

Chili Bread

This smells so good when it is mixing in the machine and then again whe it is baking. It takes some time to get all the ingredients together but the flavor is worth it. Especially when you nuke it a little before you butter it!!
